Alexandra Rodriguez / Alexandra Irene Thomas / Learning to be Fearless - pathological liar, fake BoPo advocate, professional dropout, apex consumer, great big fatty, now a mother

I keep thinking of that photo of her with her jeans undone for her pregnancy halfway mark announcement. Her bellybutton is really low - I'm assuming from the fupa-removal when they pulled her skin down - and a morbid part of my brain wants to see where her bellybutton ends up in her 8th or 9th month. The current position makes me think it would be on the under-side of her belly. She seems like the type who would be pissed that she can't take nude-belly maternity photos without everyone wondering why her bellybutton is right above her mons pubis.

Sweaty fupa, overhang, poor hygiene and scar tissue? I’m mentally prepping the IV antibiotics as I type.
In a c-section scenario, would they use her existing scar line, or cut her higher up the lower abdomen to avoid issues with the previous scar line, and possible adhesions.

It’s actually quite high up. After her abdominoplasty you could see the scarring where the naval was relocated higher up. IYKYK.

There was something really odd going on with that “half baked” photo. Absolutely 100% photoshopped. She may have even dragged that naval down to make the bump seem more realistic (that certainly didn’t work), because most people looking at those photos, called her out on the odd naval, many suggesting she was using a fake baby bump to enhance the photo.

I'm new to her so I hadn't seen that her belly button is actually really high. I know it's rarely where it's supposed to be after those kinds of surgeries and that the "created" ones have a particularly creepy look to them.

In this photo it really looks like it's right above her crotch. Fully willing to believe she shooped it, but why that poorly? And it's in the same spot on all three "half-baked" photos. Has her own anatomy gotten so weird she's not sure where belly buttons go?

Who knows what she gets up to. Plus I just needed to remind myself she had that abdominoplasty done well before she had her gastric bypass. It was straight after that surgery that the photos were taken that showed her naval had been moved up the abdomen. Then she had her gastric bypass, lost 110lb, then regained it all. Her naval probably has moved down again from where the plastic surgeon initially placed it. I’ve never actually seen those two surgeries completed in that order (they were backward) so haven’t seen what happens with the naval after being lifted then followed by significant weightloss.

ETA: Try to be patient. When working on the thread the team archived loads of images and videos that we weren’t going to be using in the OP. The site has been a bit of a PITA for uploading. Those who put the thread together will start adding them into the thread once we get the nod of approval to transfer to the main forum.

Better get hot, bitches. We're outta PG.

If there's difficulty moving archived videos, lemme know and I'll battle TOR to get them loaded into the thread. DMs work well for notifying me that TOR-wrangling is required.

My gut instinct is that the scarring is too extensive to cut through, in any way that would be safe, neat or successful. I would say lower traverse incision to skin above or below the scarring depending how high it it (ideal position is at the top of the bikini line). Depending on adhesions etc, it might be prudent to do a vertical classical incision once inside but that would be a decision to be made once she’s open. The uterus should be presenting nicely under all the fat (that’s the tricky bit) but she’s not going to have a nice neat scar after and there will probably be damage to her current scarring.

Only lady I’ve looked after with a tummy tuck had an accidental pregnancy after having it done and thankfully delivered vaginally.

EDIT TO ADD: Congratulations on getting out of PG, this is shaping up to be one of my favourite threads

but she’s not going to have a nice neat scar after and there will probably be damage to her current scarring.
She won’t worry about the scarring. After enough pregnancies (until she gets her mini me girl) she’ll go back under the knife anyway so a plastic surgeon can give her a much more “aesthetic “ mommy makeover. Her drooping breasts and frog butt need work anyway.

HAPPY early ANNIVERSARY Alex. This is the present you deserve.

There was a post upthread about pain control post birth, (c-section?), possibly being an issue. I know bugger all about WLS surgery, her cosmetic procedure or high risk fat pregnancy so could not make sense of that.

I’d be grateful for an explanation.

I dunno if this is what the up thread person meant necessarily, but I took it as a couple things: first, if you want to breastfeed obviously a lot of pain meds are out, but as far as the WLS thing - the person I know who had gastric bypass had a different sort of relationship with oral medication afterwards. It either hit really hard or not at all depending on a lot of factors, including where and how the med was supposed to be absorbed.

A lot of people post GB have hugely high rates of addiction issues, too, because of how drugs and alcohol in particular hits ya afterwards. That's not necessarily pertinent, but it's correlated to how people metabolize shit different when their insides are rerouted and chopped off.

NSAIDs are generally verboten post-WLS due to the risk of gastric bleeding and as @The Judean People's Front mentioned, narcotic pain meds are a no-no during breast feeding due to CNS depression in infants.

Which really leaves her one analgesic option and (IMHO) it's pretty useless: APAP/acetaminophen/Tylenol.

Products from video description:

Cushionaire sandals: $49.99 (Amazon)
One Loved Babe dress: $90.00
Pinkblush jumpsuit: $68.00
Pinkblush romper: $58.00
Pinkblush floral dress: $63.00

There's one dress in the vlog that she didn't try on, and it's not listed in the price tally. It'll be for the baby shower, if it fits (she was afraid it looked small). She also said she'd ordered a bunch of stuff from Old Navy that she'd be showing at a later date.
