I guess she's throwing her own baby shower? Does she have no friends at all? Besides Nancy, I mean. I love the choice of a white chair for feeding baby-- seems super-sensible and not at all like something she'll instantly regret.

I may be old fashioned but I always thought it was considered tacky at the best and rude at worst to throw your own shower? The idea is someone throws it for you…rather than throwing a party where there is an expectation guests will bring a gift. Again, I’m old, so I may be totally off.

Emily Post would agree with you. She would also consider it tacky for your mother to do so, so Nancy doesn't get a pass. It's essentially a demand for gifts, so Mom doing it is gross, too.

Modern etiquette sez ANYONE, including yourself, can throw you a shower. I guess the tacky comes in when you film it, brag about the shit you told everyone to get you, and then monetize the whole thing.

There's something, to me, about the way her face moves when she talks that is extremely uncanny/cartoonish. I think part of it is that I'm used to seeing a jaw move when someone's talking and hers is sunk into various chins, but also she just moves her mouth in a weird, mooshy way? Like the creepy CGI people in The Polar Express film. Wonder if this is just my brain not fully comprehending all the filtering going on, but yeah.

Sorry if this is extraordinarily autistic even for me.

Upon reflection, I think it's the filtering of her neck. Her chin is basically gone/filtered away in the first mins of this video.

I'm breaking the white nursing chair-- which, per Amazon description, isn't even intended to be for that purpose-- because it's pretty interesting. First off, it's only ("only") rated to 350 pounds, which seems optimistic. Secondly, the site conviently provides us with a very comprehensive set of chair measurements. I'm very much hoping that one of you can make magic with these numbers and the images of Alex in the chair.

From what I’ve seen the baby shower is over, and Fat Alex was not impressed. We’ll know in about 8 hrs. What’s next! Alex will buy the rest of her registry, and do the TikTok “beige mom’s trends”.

As much as I hate Priscilla P’s reaction’s because she’s an FFG clone and thinks Alan Roberts is so fucking intelligent, this reaction is what we should expect moving forward.
