I remember way back, when I was really "into" TGWTG... before she signed she was an active fan, and would post on the forums. That's how she started - posting her reviews on the forums. I was never "forum friends" with her or anything, I can't remember ever speaking to her specifically on the boards, but back then she seemed like a cool chick who liked terrible movies and might be fun to hang out with. If I recall, she would still post links to her video pages on her section herself, and would chat with friends for a good while before she disappeared up herself...

Well, that's because to this day no one knows where Lupa stood in regards to JewWario, right? All that's set in stone now as far as the spearheads of CTC are concerned is that Holly Christine Brown fully knew about his exploits and actively covered them up years after his death, whereas MarzGurl...just didn't. I like to think Allison is at least smart enough to stay silent on that front.

Rate this what you want but have so conflicted feelings about this thread because I genuinely like her and some of her content, tho I agree there is some shit that I just can't watch between my fingers about her behavior at times without feeling like she should calm down a bit.

I liked her stuff too. It was cool to see reviews on movies I liked like Phantasm, or movies by Full Moon, and I did like her doing all the Witchcraft movies. I even felt bad when she got let go from CA (I should have known something was up when it was only her side of the story)

The thing is she kept a hold of a grudge for being let go for years, and the whole CTC thing started when someone tweeted at her about Doug and she got triggered.

She just doesn't seem like the type to let go of things. Yes everyone has that one shit job the worked at (She didn't even work for CA they just hosted her stuff), but you leave that job, find a better one and move on. That's part of growing up and learning how to deal with things like an adult. What she's doing is the equivalent of someone going back to the shitty fast food job they had in high school 10 years later, to scream at the manager about how horrible it was to work there, and than shit on the floor. And I'm sure she'll come back and do it again in another 10 years. I don't know why she didn't leave CA along time ago, her stuff is also hosted on Phelous' website. It would have saved her a lot of trouble if she had.

She wants closure, but she hasn't learned that you don't always get that.

Never paid attention to her. Literally the only video of hers that I’ve seen was the CTC one she did. And you know what? CTC was a thing of beauty, and her spearheading it redeems her somewhat in my eyes, especially because it came at a really bad time in my life and gave me some much-needed laughter.

She’s still an opportunistic cunt, though. A lot of people are wondering what Phelous sees in her. My guess is that he’s unhappy, but refuses to leave for one reason or another. Maybe he doesn’t feel like he could get anyone else, and opts to be miserable rather than alone? Or maybe he’s afraid of what she’d do if he did leave?

One thing that’s really telling to me is the apparent fact that he stopped being friends with Brad over the CA stuff. Not just that, but where did that information come from? Her. “He’s not ‘friends with both sides.’” From that alone, I can make a pretty educated guess that they have a very unhealthy relationship and that Allison is likely abusive. That’s merely an assumption, but Allison demonstrably has the classic “with me or against me” attitude often found in abusers. Would it really be too much of a stretch to believe that she pressured Phelous into dropping Brad under the threat of leaving him (or trying to destroy his reputation)?

Here’s something else to consider: Allison seems like someone who is driven by people paying attention to her. Phelous recently broke 100,000 subscribers while she’s barely at half that amount. Would it be at all unreasonable, given what we know, to assume that Allison berates Phelous to cause him to doubt himself and keep him under her thumb? He doesn’t really seem like the most assertive fellow, and I could definitely believe that he’d be susceptible to such abuse tactics.

I liked Luba’s own videos fine enough. Nothing great but the series covers were decent and something different. My problem was when she was in other people’s videos. In short cameos she was fine and I could laugh at the running joke that every guy on TGWTG had a creepy crush on her. Unfortunately she seemed to have this lowkey attention ho thing going and it often felt like she slowed videos down annoyingly just for pointless screen time. Phelous getting the worst of it. I think most people can't believe that one of the most chill reviewers who enjoyed covering cheesy bad movies for a good laugh is now this insufferable nasty harpy who has no sense of humor. Social media/political bullshit really seems to drive any sort of normal bad qualities into one raging ball of unhappiness. You can tell from how tired she looks now.

I think when she wanted to start Movie Nights and be all 'professional' instead of just going for laughs, she got pissy that her views tanked. Phelous and Brad do so well because they like laughing and making people laugh, there's nothing more to it.

I haven't liked her content in a long while. It's no coincidence her time on camera felt more forced and stale when she apparently had a massive cactus in her butt on Twitter for this long.

I’ve never actually watched their crossovers, so I wouldn’t know. That’s EXACTLY what I assumed they were like, though, and it lends more credence to my theory. I can definitely see Lupa as the type to demean and demoralize others, phrasing it as either concern, or a harmless joke. That way, if the intended victim ever catches on, she’s got an out. “Oh, I didn’t mean anything bad by it!” Like, it ends up making THEM the bad guy for seeming too paranoid or confrontational in the face of “harmless” remarks.

I have personally the opposite. Phelous' videos where she is are usually my favorites of his videos. (I mean how can anyone not like this, its hilarious, especially them ripping the doll apart in the end) For some reason I have a bit issues with the videos of Lupa, Phelous and Brad all together because they feel a bit stiff, like they had some plot they followed through a little too strictly from written line to line and there wasn't anything spontaneous and whole videos feel a bit forced. All of them have imho same issue tho I find them usually funny.

But honestly I find the assumptions about their (Lupa & Phealous) relationship a bit for the lack of better rating.

I'm still peeved at the Spoony tweet debacle. At the time it was pretty clear that it was a bdsm joke in poor taste that Hope seemed in on. The months of screeching and passage of time however have eroded it in everyone's memory as just "raperaperaperape".
