I remember that years ago she had some trouble with a stalker, but it seems that anything talking about that was wiped from the internet, and all I can find is this one tumblr post.

I remember vaguely reading something years ago about alleged drama she had with JO (outside of the Noah incident) behind the scenes. That too has since disappeared.

She's always stood out to me as a vindictive person always looking to instigate trouble with someone else. I think a lot of people gave her some slack during the entire CTC drama because it was just so entertaining to watch Doug reveal to us what a moron he truly is.

But her entire behavior since the drama died down has really cemented for me just what an unstable bitch she really is. She could of let the drama go when it started to die down back in April, and she would of walked away with a much better reputation than she deserved.

I get the feeling Phelous is aware to some extent of Lupa's batshit insanity.

I remember back in March when the whole #ChangeTheChannel thing kicked into gear that he participated, alongside Allison to boot, in a lot of the Twitter threads full of CA ex-contributors reminiscing about their times there. Once the hashtag proper took form and people like Linkara and Todd and the Rap Critic jumped ship, Phelan pretty much got the fuck out of there to dodge, almost as if he knew full well a shitstorm was-a brewing. He didn't even contribute to the "Not So Awesome" doc like everyone else did, instead having Allison speak for him. All he did afterwards was remove all the references to JewWario in his videos in response to Carmical getting exposed as a sexual predator.

Phelous is sort of like Brad in that he doesn't want to get himself involved in any kind of shitshow, regardless of whatever side of the drama he's on. Which perplexes me even further as to what the hell he sees in Lupa.

There's a theory amongst Phelan's fans on this one.

Lupa, prior to her crazy coming fully to the surface (it can be argued whether or not it was always present, but that's its own can of worms), was quite funny. While she's mostly known nowadays for zero-effort content (like a lot of former CA alumni), she actually did put out good content occasionally, and did so with a quirky sense of humor that did work well in small doses or when she had Brad or Phelous to bounce dialogue off of.

The TL;DR is that regardless of his reasons for sticking with her, Phelan is one of the only people who will tolerate her, and one of the only people Alison does not want to risk losing. He won't actively participate in her shit - Phelous actually possesses self-awareness and (usually) stays well away from her craziest bits, rarely doing more than chime in periodically on Twitter or in forum posts. Phelan has a history of outright making fun of Internet outrages du jour in his videos, so this position actually kind of makes sense.

One thing that is well-known is that Phelan has always had legit gripes with CA. This was never really with the content creators, and mostly with Mike Michaud; there's several posts he's made on the matter elaborating his stake in it (and how Michaud fucked him).

I guess it always seemed like more of a hobby thing for Liz, at least from my perspective. Like, it never seemed like content creation was what she was interested in doing, more so that it was a thing that her boyfriend got her interested in.
