TGWTG Allison Pregler / Obscurus Lupa / Movie Nights - The vindictive leader of #ChangeTheChannel, GOTIS personified, vendetta against The Cinema Snob

Not like I even care about either of their reputations, but c'mon Allison, don't force people to point this out.

Skimming that write up, it sounds like a load of purity spiral and cancel culture bullshit.
Yeah, it's nothing all that interesting. You'd think it'd be about him learning that someone in the group knew about Jewario and did nothing, or their vindictiveness getting the better of them, but it's mostly just pc bullshit. It's really not relevant to CTC at all, it's moreso how he fell out of his group of friends.

You'd think he'd name the video something more appropriate, like "why I'm no longer in CTC", but the man's all about clicks.

I'm looking forward to the day when Lupa ultimately turns on Lewis just like she turned on Brad. Because it's going to be hilarious watching him get burned after he burned so many bridges just to placate his vindictive cunt of a friend.

I'm actually surprised he would favor her over Brad and Doug to be honest.

He didn't for the longest time, but then CTC happened and the mass outcry could no longer be denied. He stuck with them and defended them at points, worked with Doug and Brad on Brad's Disco movie, and seemed to have no issues because he didn't. He personally was doing fine except for the fact they wouldn't give him money to make another anniversary special. But then when CTC happened, it looked like it was going to be the thing that destroyed CA and so it was now actually in his best interests to jump ship at long last. Except, as we saw, nothing happened and he ended up losing out. Also, he wanted to do that Voice in the Dark thing and they probably would have told him to fuck off if he'd sided against them.

But yeah, I can see Lewis eventually getting thrown under the bus for taking too long or something. Allison just needs to have some form of attention on her.

I used to not care about Lupa. Then CTC happened and I slowly grew to disliking her. With shit like this, my contempt for this sad, pathetic harpy keeps on growing. There is literally nothing too low for her to stoop to, it seems.

I didn't mind her until the whole Spoony blow up. Spoony was/is a creep, but who waits for over a month to go after someone for something that you are not involved in like that? Petty bitches and drama queens. They don't care about the issue or situation, but just want to use it.

It's worth noting the effort Cinematic Venom put in to getting any kind of response from Allison.

He took little swipes at her editing Brad out of her videos...

He gave Brad a public apology...

He reveled in her blocking him, comparing himself to a bear being poked, while pointing out her various hypocrisys.

She finally acknowledges him just to say he means nothing to her. He goes right back to it, hoping he can get her to give him more attention beyond a mere "talk to the hand".

Elsewhere, Lewis got a nice pat on the head from Allison for being a "good ally".

We've seen Allison try to snuggle up to Jack from Red Letter Media, clearly in hopes he'd help her get on one of RLM's shows. I was reminded yet again of just how bad of a fit she'd be there. On their recent video discussing Star Trek: Picard Episode 4 & 5, they discuss a completely unnecessary torture scene of a character whose original actor said some controversial things a few years ago. Mike believes the two are connected and that while he didn't like what the guy said, he found it really weird to have a gruesomely violent scene happen to a fictional character seemingly as a type of effigy for the actor who previously played him. They also hated what they did with the Seven of Nine character in general.

Allison's take on it...

I'm sure if she owned the rights to any character Brad Jones played, you'd see it recast with that character having their legs sawed off in real time.

What do you mean “wouldn’t give Linkara money for an anniversary special”? All I remember on that front was that he would have accepted the role of director if they offered it to him. But yeah, Lewis is pretty two faced.

Possibly I was reading too much into it, but if he wanted to do an anniversary special, which is what his movie was, why did he need their permission? CA constantly said they don't own anything and didn't take a cut, and there was no trouble with him doing the movie or the audio drama. The only reason he would need to ask them was if he expected them to pay for it, which I think he did when he proposed the idea of taking over the creative control to them and was rejected. Also, why would they tell him "no you can't" if they weren't being asked to at least contribute towards it? Also, he was okay with Doug or someone else having control over the special, so long as they kept making them. Which again brings us to "where would the money come from?"

Again, could be reading too much into it but I just don't see how else he expected to pay for it unless he was going to crowd fund it. And in that case, why would they say no?

Honestly, when he made that spiel about year 10 that never was, all I got from that was Linkara saying he’s a better director than Doug. I could speculate more, but that’s stuff better suited for his thread.

White knights gotta white knight, and Lewis is one of the worst there is. If Brad or Doug trooned out, I bet he'd immediately start being a lot nicer to whichever one of them did.

Edit: And not just because he wants to fuck them.
It doesn't help that Lewis is so arrogant he thinks of himself as a public figure whose opinions matter, and there's an entire twitter echo chamber that backpats anyone who says uncritically pro CTC stuff. He's just one of the many who makes bad decisions based on it that paint him into a corner later once he's alienated all his former collaborators other than compulsive bridge burners like Allison who would probably turn on him too, given enough time.

Linkara is just a chameleon. He’s gonna do whatever it takes to keep his image intact.

It wasn't about money. He's just an autistic ultra-nerd. He needed his video to be officially canon.

The fact that he needs to have a canon makes it kind of crazy. I’d just chalk this up to his ego needing him to be the best.

Does this mean Linkara will un ironically have a slight redemption arch? Also why doesn’t Cinematic Venom have a thread yet?
Has Venom really done anything to warrant one outside of the CA drama?

No but now that you put it that way, I can see why you would ask. Oh well I was just curious, maybe if he gets into drama later in the future he could warrant one.

That's gigantic if. But he is too harmless to reach these fucks' levels of autism. So personally I don't think it's a viable option.
