It was enlightening this weekend hearing the history of the forum from @Null himself during his discussion with Destiny but tbqf I just don't get the obsession with Chris Chan. Ya he's autistic and weird but that seems a dime a dozen on the internet. The whole story creeps me out tbh and though it's never been brought up by #dropkiwifarms I actually find the egging on of the community around Chris's troon out and raping his mother (WHAT THE FUCK, and I can't repeat that enough, WHAT THE FUCK) to be the most disturbing thing that people associated with the forum have ever done. I've embarrassed myself here in other posts by showing my ignorance of the Chris Chan extended cinematic universe lore but I really don't care. I love following many, many lolcows, the thots in Beauty Parlor, the fatties of death fats, the trannies in stinkditch, random lolcows like the guy who has a funeral service where all the employees pretend to be cops for some reason, but I just have no interest in Chris Chan and I don't see myself ever getting into it.

Yes, you are alone. Most people here, including me, spend 8-12 hours a day looking at Chris Chan threads. That's why the culture of the forum is so insular; not everyone has the mental fortitude to spend most of their day reading about Chris Chan, and it's what gives The Kiwi Farms such a unique character and ability to endure such censorship 💪

Sure Chris Chan was not the most lolcow that ever lolcowed, but he was a pioneer.

He created a genre, a legend. He rallied people against and for him. He went through multiple ups and down, and kept his audience so engaged they built a fucking forum around him, which ended up outgrowing his own saga.

Is it cruel that people trolled a retard? Yes. So what?

One thing I think could be interesting would be a story or at least a description from a retired firefighter who attended the house fire. For example, I don't think anyone knows how injuries to the firefighters occurred, and what the random stuff they tripped on was.

No, you're not.
I first heard of and browsed the site around the time it was basically dedicated to CWC, and while I did extract some laughs off Chris' attempts at life, it was genuinely uninteresting&boring to me. That image/reputation of KF basically being CWC documentation made me delay making an account until the keffals drama started to grow, and the political implications were immediately of significant interest to me.
But I do understand the nostalgia for that more innocent and apolitical version of the site, for sure.
Also made one such post in the past here and people got similarly mad at me as they are at you lmao.

I could see Chris-chan being just not that fascinating if you're only just now discovering him, and the first thing you ever heard about was the mother situation. Stories always lose impact if the first thing you hear about them is the big twist that spoils the ride.
