Patrick is funny, but also incredibly generic by modern cow standards. A fat angry narcissist with a Twitter obsession… Sure, I may be simplifying him a little but at the end of the day there are plenty of cows who spend all day sperging at people on social media. His comedic value isn’t really anything special IMO.
Chris is so revered as a cow because, despite being very uninteresting in many ways since like 2014-2016 he was not only one of the first real lolcows to gain popularity on the internet, but also one of the most uniquely bizarre. His life was a perfect storm of fucking insanity that only could’ve happened at the precise time it did and in the precise way it did. Many of the early troll arcs play out like some kind of twisted dark satire on nerd culture and neckbeards, except the main target of parody was a real person who was unable to comprehend their role in the presentation. When Liquid Chris dressed up in a striped sweater and poorly made facsimile Sonichu medallion then went online claiming to be the true and honest CWC, Chris really believed that this was the plot of some dark troll cabal intent on stealing his potential fame and fortune. It’s a fascinating situation that cannot really be compared to anything before it.
Then you’ve got the deeper analysis of Chris as a person (which is what I’m personally most interested in); what his life shows about the dangers of overconsumption and excessive escapism in modern society, the sheer extent as to which his narcissism, autism and general stupidity clouds his judgement, his bizarre and off-putting relationships with others around him (like his parents and Megan) etc… Everything about Chris is just… odd. So odd that it hasn’t even really been replicated now despite the sheer quantity of cows that have followed in his footsteps. Plenty of cows since Chris have been fucked with by trolls, but I really can’t think of many off of the top of my head that have been trolled to such a deep extent as to have it ending up influencing their world and perception of reality.
Top all that with a healthy dose of nostalgia for the state of the internet at the time, and for many, an entirely ironic love for the likes of his “creative” works such as Sonichu and many of his one-off music videos and skits, and you get the reason why people are so deeply fascinated by this absolute character of a person.

I am really appreciating the lore drops tbh. You guys might make a convert out of me, I had no idea all of that went back to Chris. The amount of lore to be absorbed is quite intimidating though.

In addition to what's already been mentioned, another thing that is interesting about CWC is that he is one of the most documented people in history despite having accomplished nothing other than being a fucking weirdo. For comparison, Robert Caro is a writer known for his extensive research (anyone who read The Power Broker knows that book is thick enough to stop a bullet) and since the 80s he's been writing a biography of Lyndon Johnson that currently sits at four books and about 3500 pages. The CWCki meanwhile currently sits at 2479 articles. A retard from Virginia inspiring that level of interest and documentation from random people is fascinating in and of itself.

We know the "why" behind Chris, both from his own mouth, his actions onscreen and through his comics, the observed behavior of his family and friends/trolls to a degree that is so much deeper than any other lolcow that he is just objectively more interesting to watch and discuss. For example with Tomlinson, he just appeared as this stupid 40 year old retard and we dont know how he became like that and we haven't seen him change or evolve.
2. Chris' weirdness produced art, which despite being shitty can also be interesting, funny, and shocking. He expressed his displeasure at a customer by making a custom sonichu medallion with an angry face and his rather clever naming of the count graduon are two examples of many times when Chris' autism and childishness co-mingled with his creativity for comedic effect. Also he calls his welfare check a tugboat and the analogy is pretty clever. I dont see creative output like that from other lolcows. They just fart, sue, and dilate.

I know a lot of different people contributed to it, but I really like how the narrative voice of the articles has this sardonic, sarcastic tone. The aylawwgs/trolls/gawkers of lolcows can heavily influence the enjoyment of casuals like me anyway.

I'd also like to make the argument that autism such as it is now wouldn't have garnered nearly the same reputation it has here (and on sites like 4chan and ED) if it wasn't for Chris's extreme case of it and use of the condition to dodge all responsibilities and consequences in his life. If Chris was never autistic or had a completely different set of interests, would the stereotype of "fat autistic manchild who likes MLP and anime way too much and is creepy towards women" be nearly as prevalent as a joke/insult online as it is now?

Not to mention everybody's favorite tophat sticker and related term a-logging is related to his story. Not knowing about Chris means missing out on a lot of the forum's culture and inner language.
And we shouldn't forget that Chris was a pioneer in many areas. He was a brony before bronies became popular. He made his OC into his fursona (only in the comics but you have to start somewhere). He trooned out before troons were popular. There are cows that are funnier right now because they are active and we can enjoy their antics every day but anybody who refuses to learn christory is doing themselves a great disservice.

I'll just flat out say that no, while the completely bonkers history of what Chris has done on the internet is probably second to none, I check the forum about him irregularly at best. I really don't care all that much about Chris, but it's very easy to see why this forum sprang up around his antics, before he got tossed in jail finally, he was a never ending font of dumbassery and hilarious autism.
The guy was a notorious internet pariah years before this site got started. So speculating on what's going to happen next with him is not unfounded curiosity.
