Amazon Studios to develop series based on Fallout

The lead writer is that mediocre hack dworet, same one behind bossgirl marvel and flat raider which nobody even watched and was only saved because for some reason the koreans and chinese loved it, else it would have bombed instead of barely breaking even like it did.
the new-bad guys(the brotherhood)
They were already turned into the bad guys in Fo4, right after for no reason being turned into the good guys/heroes of Fo3. Is like nobody at bethesda even played the old games: the brotherhood is neither good or bad, they are just a faction that goes around securing old tech, they don't help anyone unless strictly necessary nor go around killing/stealing/conquering anyone either.

But of course there's no nuance anymore, the neo-left shitlibs have made it clear you're either with them or against them.
No matter how much this thing earns, it will always look like a failure
I doubt it'll make much money, normies don't even know about fallout so the series main revenue has to come from the fans............on which the series takes a huge shit on.
Star Wars and Fallout, on the other hand? Very popular franchises
Dude SW was a massive cultural phenomenon for boomers and genX worldwide, and the prequels were huge in the 2000s even if mediocre. Meanwhile Fallout was never as popular as GTA, Mario or even Fortnite, most normies have no idea what it is, there's no comparison.
There’s a tranny BoS initiate that think’s she’s a man. Did anyone else notice the Elder referred to her as they/them/their like twice?
It kinda shows the sheer madness of gendershit that they honestly believe a world were even basic human rights don't exist anymore because many are starving or dying from radiation while living in complete anarchy, where some random raider can go medieval on your ass and hang your limbless body from a meat hook in the middle of the street, how in this world would anyone go out of their way to accommodate a pooner? specially a militarized order born from remnants of the US army.
We need some sort of great cataclysm to reset the world, frens.
I rather they all get killed, a great purge. People forget the biggest killing of commies was by stalin. That manlet killed more hardline oldschool commies than one-nut hitler ever did.
The bigger issue is House being on board with America being nuked. House's character is entirely built around the fact he did not want nuclear war to happen at all because there's no profit in it nor does he normally maintain power in a post-nuclear world
Back to the nuance I mention above, the neo-left can't fathom the idea that house had no way to keep the bombs from flying because for them the world its ruled by billionaires and nothing happens with their express authorization. Much like tinfoil hats schizos they also believe that the illuminatti are real and that somewhere there's a room full of powerful people who decide everything, they are this retarded. Of course when those powerful people do something they want then they are heckin' wholesome and valid, not dark overlords.
Hate-watching is for retards who are incapable of breaking their consoomer chains.
Indeed...

Fallout is not post apocalyptic. It's post post apocalyptic. Two centuries beyond the actual fallout of the Great Wars. Where humanity has been rebuilding civilization and surviving and sustaining itself. It's not the same as other series that often get referenced as being similar 'post apocalyptic' franchises. As those are usually set mere months or years after the apocalypse. Or sometimes actually during which would make them just apocalyptic.

Bethesda never understood this.
This reminds me of back in the second half of 2013. It's when rumors about Fallout 4 taking place in Boston were just starting to pop up, and there was this one dude in one of my classes who was talking about how excited he was for Fallout 4 but he really hoped it wasn't like New Vegas because he wanted to play games in a post apocalypse and that New Vegas was too "civilized".

Maybe this is actually what the normie masses want?

I mean I get it. You can't really market a show in this day and age about China nuking the U.S and destroying the world.

It's fucking stupid but this is without a doubt market driven censorship and not an ideologically driven retcon.

I fucking hate Bethesda more than anything for making ghouls super common and turning them into either actual zombies or some sort of weird marvel-esque alien creatures that do whatever the fuck you want them to(including some really forced RACISM! analogues, see Tenpenny Tower quest in Fallout 3). Long are the days when they would be rare and have some unique interactions, but were still just people deep inside.
The Tenpenny Towers quest was funny because once the ghouls are allowed to move in, they chimp out & massacre all the humans. What was Bethesda trying to say there?

Pirate it. If you hate it & you have Prime, freeplay the first episode or two and then quit. Metrics are everything for streamers, doing that sinks a series more than avoiding it as it tells them you had interest in a show but it failed to hold you.

The first seasons of those shows were good if not great. They fell apart in their second seasons, with The Boys being in free fall and not slowing down. Fallout on Amazon does not even have a good first season. But you might even be able to argue that it does not even have a good first episode. And possibly not even a good first scene in the show. It's just awful from start to finish. And openly antagonistic to the lore and older fans.

If you are not a Fallout fan you will understand almost nothing as well. This show is tailor-made for Bethesda and Fallout fans and is not at all like The Boys or Invincible. Where if you didn't read the comics you can still follow everything because the explanations for what is happening are always presented to the audience. Fallout is written assuming you are already a fan of the series. There are so many references to the games that they writers and producers are treating each episode like some sort of Fallout Reference Bingo Game and not a serious story.

But if you are a fan of New Vegas or 1 and 2 you will probably hate the show. If you liked Fallout 3, 4, and 76 then this is the show for you. I watched the show out of the corner of my eye and was barely paying attention towards the end. But the first seasons of The Boys and Invincible I was right there until the closing scene.

I'm only 2 episodes in but I'm not as cynical as most. The pooner was cringe and the world does seem super green, but idk I can suspend my disbelief through that, there are some good aspects, too.

The worst part so far for me is what happened with the Knight and how Max got the power armor. It would have been cool for max and the Knight to go on an adventure that teaches Max not to be such a sniveling bitch but instead the Knight is played off for cheap laughs as a giant pussy. Idk, just a lot of potential wasted for the writers to have a "haha see we played these knights up as bad ass but they're actually just faggots haha see what we did?"

It seemed like a super fucking lazy way to fast-track max into power armor

The bigger issue is House being on board with America being nuked. House's character is entirely built around the fact he did not want nuclear war to happen at all because there's no profit in it nor does he normally maintain power in a post-nuclear world. He panickedly, hurriedly prepared absolutely everything he could to protect as much of his stomping grounds as possible before the bombs fell to the point even when the bombs came early he was still able to repress the majority of them with his defense systems. His failure to stop it literally motivated him to want to try to uplift humanity around his cult of personality for the sake of making them progress past the need for nukes (while also worshiping him along the way). The characterization depicted in the TV show with him being on-board with the destruction of the world is completely out of tune with everything we've seen about him, and not even in a rectifiable way.
So the creators of this show are coming out and saying New Vegas isn’t actually retconned, but now that means their change to House’s character is even more illogical. I don’t even know why he’s mentioned in this show at all, or why New Vegas is for that matter, if they’re just going to contradict the source material. They’ve created so many plot holes and contrivances for themselves it’ll take a genius screenwriter to fix it by Season 3.

I only got partway through episode 3 before it got too cringy for me to watch. The dialogue ranged from ok to complete shit and the action scenes felt either amateurish or goofy in a bad way. And after reading about the future plot points and how the show is spitting all over canon at this point - I'm not watching more of this shit.

Not even Goggins can save this.

Did you watch Westworld past the first season? Because that's how practically every single plot was written. They'd introduce something, have some misdirection, then all of the sudden attempt to subvert your expectations. Fallout Amazon is filled with this.

The girl is getting married but plot twist it's raiders instead. The fag with they pronouns is going on an adventure but plot twist she gets injured last second and now the nigger character is going. The guy is selling snake oil but plot twist he sells healing serum that works but another plot twist it turns you into a ghoul. The female ghoul is sad and lonely and repeating her name but plot twist she's actually a feral maniac ghoul who wants to eat people. Knight Titus is an elite badass who needs his penis guard polished but plot twist he's a huge pussy and an ugly kike in real life and is a coward in battle.

Practically every single scene in the show is like this. With some pointless misdirection before everything. Nothing in the show is straightforward. We need to save the prisoners but plot twist someone poisoned them. You were on a mission to save your father but plot twist you want him dead now (who could have seen that one coming???). The Brotherhood wants to execute the nigger but plot twist the last second save is happening and he's now entrusted (after killing his own Paladin even) with leading the Brotherhood on a mission that is so reckless and idiotic that they lose multiple irreplaceable Vertibirds during it.

The Brotherhood can maintain a fleet of sky blimps and helicopters. But can't tell the difference between a toaster and a circuit board. And they don't have running water and toilets. Great lore and writing.

It'd probably make more sense for a nuclear false alarm incident to be the real reason why the nuclear missiles were launched like what almost happened in 1983. The series made it pretty clear that arguing over who technically started the war was worthless or didn't matter, but the show decided, "Nah the evil Vault Tek did it, capitalism am'iright?" which just shits on the core messages of the games in general.
To be fair, Vault Tec starting the nuclear exchange has been a fan theory for years. Backed by some evidence. The games themselves depict Vault Tec as basically the Weyland Yutani of the Fallout universe. It's an evil fucking company.

Depending on how they did, I might be fine with them going with Vault Tec starting the war.

The shit I'm reading here about how the treated House and New Vegas perturbs me far more.

Also, Null loves New Vegas, so he's probably not gonna be happy with this either.

I’ve only watched the first episode but most the bullshit I expected was in just that one episode. There’s a tranny BoS initiate that think’s she’s a man. Did anyone else notice the Elder referred to her as they/them/their like twice? Everything now has to reinforce these peoples’ mental illness. Where is this initiate getting her HRT from in the post-apocalypse? Is that going to be something tolerated by the BoS. “Initiate Maximus, can you identify which of these compounds is progesterone, estrogen and androgen? We must acquire the advanced sex-reassignment technology of this once great nation, brothers!”

Bitch, you are not a man. We get what we get in this life, can’t beat Mother Nature.

If they made Aliens today, they’d give Vasquez a puberty mustache, call her PFC Juan Vasquez, Hudson would respect her pronouns, and her helmet would have “Kill All TERFS” scrawled on it. Can’t just make a one-of-the-boys character a dyke or a tomboy anymore. We need some sort of great cataclysm to reset the world, frens.
Is there really a troon BoS? Microsoft can't leave the console market soon enough and Bethesda needs to go bankrupt.

Putin please harden your heart and start a nuclear war please

No troon (as far as I know) in the BoS, just an enby - which might be worse. Someone said there was a tranny character in the show, and I don't plan on going through it again to just practice my troondar.

You might want to come to terms with the fact that you'll never play a good Fallout game ever again.
In retrospect it's very remarkable that New Vegas got made in the first place.

It is what they want. The normalfag masses have always been groundzero of the lowest common denominator, and trying to rationalize with them is a futile effort.
And it always ends in a response similar to that of Pete Hines;

That response by Pete Hines is ridiculous. Completely ignores the guys response and focuses on the second question so he can easily dismiss it. His response to the second question is just dumb. He uses "talking" in that sentence to empathize how unrealistic the setting is even though it makes complete sense they can speak since they are still ,heavily mutated, humans. The mutants are man made and the ghouls are the result of massive radiation exposure which lines up IRL( Your skin will start to necrose like the ghouls in fallout when exposed to large amounts of radiation). His response is what the morons on reddit sound like.

The first Fallout movie script from 1998 literally had its main plot twist be that the creator of the vaults launched a nuke at one of them to test the results. And the nuke launch was detected and misinterpreted by other countries as being hostile and it inadvertently caused the Great War. All other countries began launching their nukes in response and it escalated into a full fledged worldwide apocalyptic event.

There are dozens of Cold War era movies, comics, and books, with the exact same plot. Of a test or training exercise from the military accidentally triggering a real response and it going into full nuclear war. But the original Fallout story and Fallout Bible were pretty clear that the Great War's beginning was always meant to be deliberately unknown to keep the mystery in the minds of the players.
