I'm not hard to please, I've enjoyed the hell out of the Invincible Animated Series and I even liked The Boys Season 1. I should be more than accepting to Amazon slop. I turned this fucking piece of shit off as fast as I turned off The Rings of Power.

Okay so we're introduced to Lucy, who is this high adept female the pinnacle of what a Vault Dweller should be. But her problem is that there's no men in her vault who are suitable for marriage especially because they fear the effects of incest. So they have an arranged marriage with the neighboring Vault. And the big twist is that this Vault is actually Raiders who assumingly killed the actual neighboring Vault and then put on that Vault's clothing to then raid Lucy's Vault. Lucy realizes her new hubbie is a Raider because he has high levels of radiation (she realizes this with her Pip Boy). WHY DIDN'T ANYONE AT THE VAULT CHECK THEIR RADIATION LEVELS BEFORE LETTING THEM ALL IN AND HAVING A MARRIAGE?

That's an astronomical plothole that's too fucking big for me ignore. Not to mention how it's so bafflingly stupid to think that the Raiders could just easily deceive everyone at the vault. I just turned the show off at that point. I would have thought I'd reject the Fallout TV Show for not respecting the lore no I can't accept it for being so poorly written.

Not a fan. Decided to look up who helped write the show and... it's Geneva Robertson-Dworet.

She helped create and produce the show (and is credited as a co-writer for the first couple episodes), as well co-write the story and screenplay for the 2018 Tomb Raider reboot and the 2019 Captain Marvel movie. Those appear to be the only other credits her Wiki page deemed noteworthy enough too lol. So the strong female protagonist suddenly makes sense.

Best part is that the games already handled the "Raider Vault" idea much better with Vault 3 in New Vegas, hell Vault 15 in Fallout 2 all the way back in 1998 has more believable characters than this. Even Bethesda raiders are written better than this, the TV is a whole new level of slop.

It's also fully non-canon: At this point, if this is what Bethesda sees as a future for the franchise, it will have to be a full on reboot.
Fine by me, I don't consider Fallout 76 canon and I doubt I will do so for any future Bethesda product ever again.
Thank goodness Fallout London is coming out in less than two weeks time, by then the TV show will be forgotten about anyways. As long as it's not a Frontier tier disaster(btw Frontier is sounding better than this shit too, lmfao), it's going to be an infinitely more faithful adaptation than this.

There’s already reviews on iMDB giving this schlock a 10/10, telling other users to ignore the fanboys and that “if you like FO4 and FO76 you will like this”, which is indicative of this show’s writing quality.

I’m giving the site a week before checking reviews again. A lot of the reviews seems to be coming from bot accounts or are been left by those involved by the show, which is sadly common on iMDB nowadays unfortunately do I don’t know what and what not to trust.

I got to episode 7 and decided to throw in the towel. I’m done.

They could have had Lucy immediately go out and start trying to shoot Raiders resulting in her husband betraying her. Or he tries to kill her in her sleep. Either of those would have been better than having it in the story that they easily should have known the neighboring Vault visitors were not friends.

Is it even explained how these Vault Dwellers were able to visit one another and somehow not explore the outside world? The vaults can't be THAT hidden if the raiders found them. This begs the question, how the fuck did these Vaults function without outside interference for so long? Every Vault that is untouched or still has people in it has an explanation for this, even Bethesda Vaults. I bet this show doesn't, because funny cyclops and man ass am I right?

I'm seeing people mention that with the way Brotherhood is, the Brotherhood ending in Fallout 4 might be "canon" here.
Speaking of which, I'm seeing a lot of coping, seething and damage control on both /tv/ and /fog/. They will try and claim that this is the best thing since sliced bread and the only reason that the "fans" didn't like it was because the fans are toxic and don't know better(like they did with Last of Us 2).

Looks like the NCR either gets nuked by Vault Tec(who would not still be around by this point unless Tactics and Vault 0 are canon), House(who has no reason to nuke them since he knows they are the ones who will make him and Vegas wealthy) or Enclave. This shit is even more contrived than the nukes in Lonesome Road and feels like an excuse for Todd to nuke California back into the stone age so he can make the entire setting into uncleaned skeletons and garbage left all over place as if the war happened 2 hours ago and not 200 years ago. Just like his games.
I'm seeing mentions of "ghoul serum". Please tell me they made ghouls even more like zombies because toddout games are the only thing these retards played.

Barely through the pilot and I need to vent. This is exactly what you expect Bethesda Fallout developed by fucking Amazon to be. It's to borrow a term memberberries, it's cargo cult, it hits the nostalgia but it's sexless, it's tasteless, it's fucking slop. Ten years ago I wouldn't have bat an eye at the representation but these days, with Amazon involved it stinks to high heaven, and even though I expected nothing else I'm still upset.
