"This isn't about being brave or strong, I know i'm those things, this is different." ~Amber, Incarnated Avatar of the spirit of humility.

I don't think there's ever been a more hateable character in any series I've ever watched.
It's even funnier when you realize that Amber's problem is basically that she's complaining about the fact she can't complain about or blame Mark for saving lives.

they backpeddeled so fucking hard yet still didn't change a damn thing
should've just had them over at the end of season 1 with amber apologizing but mark not being in the mood for any of it
have him show some backbone than be the beta male hapa stereotype

I swear if Amber just dumps Mark because "You're just not right for me." I'm going to be so annoyed.

The only thing interesting thing in the show is Omniman and the concept of how if a Superman did exist he would have a huge trouble in staying connected with puny humans whither and die in a fraction of his lifespan. Mark should have that too.

They break up because she can't handle the superhero shit and hates having to lie about it.

Is Amber even like that in the comic? It's not hard to see why Mark would end up with someone else.
Form what I've heard, I'm pretty sure in the comic they break up pretty damn early. Like, so early Amber doesn't really get much of a character because she just disappears after.

Speaking of, can anyone who's read the comic tell me how different the show's version of Eve is? Because every snippet I see of her from the comic has so much more fucking attitude and energy than the bland shit she is in the show:

Amber doesn't have any of that stuff where she gets upset with Mark. She found out he was Invincible during a gossip chat with her friend. She and Mark end up moving apart because Mark keeps getting occupied with superheroing and Amber starts dating somebody else.

Eve's mostly unchanged with what's happened so far. The plot about her wanting to help people and causing problems doing so is original to the show, though. At some point in the 30s or so she moves to Africa to live in a treehouse and help the needy, though. The turning point in being interested in Mark is supposed to follow this next fight with Angstrom Levy.

The comic sucks and im not sure how he can say invincible is better than superman when the only well written character in that series is omniman. It amazes me how the watchmen a comic made by a commie who thinks he's a litteral wizard who can communicate with a comic book character and worships a satanic pedophile Name aleister Crowley. Somehow manged to make the best deconstruction of superheroes to date.

I honestly didn't realize it's been that long since the previous season.
It premiered on the 25th of March, 2021.
jesus fucking christ, i didn't realize it was like two goddamn years thought it was just one
no wonder i feel like it's been an eternity since
i'm honestly pissed about the meta "joke" now

Main guy just radiates beta energy. Plus why the fuck is he working for a diploma? You saying the guy who can fly to space needs a gender studies basket weaving paper?

Isn't the old scarface paying him? Even if he wouldn't accept money for saving the world, like, just carry NASA's shit to space, or fly cargo containers from CHYNA to Spain.

It would almost be funny if it were played for laughs. Like he disobeys Cecil and blows up other planets and gets in huge conflicts and acts like a loose cannon. But then stays home and does his chores when his mother yells at him and refuses to talk back to her because he's still a child at heart. But the fact that it's played seriously is pathetic. They should honestly have him stop protecting Earth and refuse to stop the next alien or monster, allowing billions to die, because he's not done typing his thesis on queer art theory. "This is more important. This will save the world".

"I may have saved the day, but L'Quantarius Jones, they/them, will save the world with their etsy store."

I think it's partly because him going to college was always the plan before he got his powers and he doesn't see any reason to deviate, but also because he still wants to have a civilian identity. Kinda the same reason Superman keeps being Clark Kent. He wants to have a normal life apart from him being a superhero.

Frankly I would just make being a superhero my source of income. I save the world, you owe me a million bucks. And no, you don't get to deduct property damage from my pay, because fuck you.

This was a plot of The Boys comics and show. Where the superheroes simply cannot live their civilian lives because everyone recognizes them or they get seen changing into their costume or using their powers. A recurring plot on the show is when superheroes get doxxed. Like Stormfront's identity getting leaked. Or Starlight being caught beating up the alley rapists and people on twitter using her real name #shewasanorexic.

Why the hell he even goes to college is beyond me. That's for wage-slaves who want a higher-paying job. If he has a high-school diploma, he's good enough to flip burgers. But Mark Grayson works for the military-industrial complex and the deep state, and they only need his muscles. He should get paid up the ass to just punch things; he shouldn't be going to college. When his mom says it's not a job, she's fucking wrong. It is a job, and Mark should be getting paid.

Frankly, this is why Batman and Iron Man work so well. They don't need an excuse to go to school and waste time when they should be out super-heroing. They have all the time and money in the world, and their real-life identities don't need to go to school, they can just bullshit their way and say they were checking investments when they're super-heroing.

Someone like Superman and Spider-Man can make it work; their superhero activity allows them to do their jobs of journalism far better. Captain America and War Machine are military men, it's their job to go around patrolling, so they're already getting paid for their main gig. But this whole splitting school with superhero shit that a lot of comics and cartoons do would just end with the kid mentally exhausted from all the pressure. They're going to burn out before they even have kids.

>2 years in the making

>Split season half

>Make us wait like 4 months

>Waste 3 episodes on random pointless bullshit that goes nowhere

>Finale is about some irrelevant asshole we've haven't seen for 90% of the season and only known for 1 episode.

Why are modern writers like this

Also, mark is such a whiny faggot. Having a crisis over killing someone would be more impactful if that someone hadn't just threatened to torture his fucking 2 year old brother 10 seconds earlier.

I think the only plot point that wasn't addressed this season was the Flaxans? I guess that's still to come. Retarded hiatus aside, I didn't enjoy this season any more or less than the first, though its highs weren't as high as season 1. Allen and Nolan are still the MVP's.

season 2 was the setup for the real hype shit in the next season. having recently reread that portion of the comic, there's gonna be a sick battle around the last episode of that season
also gonna bring up future eve called robot "rex" in the episode. gee i wonder what that could mean...

Lewis was such lost potential.

Instead of making hin great they just condensed the final battle to make room for more Debbie drama.

iirc Lewis was supposed to send Mark into an evil mark dimension, and also there's the battle where 100s of alternate dimension mark join in the fight.
