Amazon's Invincible - thoughts?

How would Angstrom Levy have the memories of his other versions dying? Am I missing something here? You could argue "well he was watching them die from another dimension". But why not just save them instead and lock the portal behind? Was he just traveling to different dimensions to watch himself die over and over? And why not save his family through the portals from each dimension as well?

The writing is terrible in this series. The Boys is literally a parody and comedy show written for idiots and is more nuanced and sophisticated. And now we get time travel as a mechanic? So everything is even more meaningless.

no he took them from the other dimensions before they were about to die. thats why the memories exist

Does he? Then why wait until the last second? Why wait for his family to die? Why not just take your family and hide them in the safest dimensions immediately? Then work your way back through the other dimensions where Mark destroys earth? We literally see the bad version of Invincible killing Levy's family over and over. It makes zero sense.

the invincible war will be the major event for season 3 cause it kills off a bunch of characters, including rex, which is why robot is referred to as rex by eve from the future

probably because there are times where he was almost too late to get those versions of Angstrom and those are just the moments he remembers or some shit. couldnt really tell you since it's a show original moment and was probably done to both fill out extra time and do character backstory or something

Again been a while since I read the comic and I'm not watching the cartoon but I thought the thing with Levy was basically that the one with universe-hopping abilities gathered a bunch of alternate versions together and asked the mauler twins to do "le science" and stick all their brainwaves in his head, and that part actually worked but the machine got busted while invincible and the twins were fighting over it, which killed all the Levys and made the main Levy watch from their eyes?

And then he hopped to the superscience universe (why didn't he take all the levys there in the first place?) to complete his transformation into yakuub.
 
They didn't even have the balls to end this with Allen and Nolan's jailbreak tearing things apart in a glorious cacophony of blood and guts. I'm disappointed.

If this was written in the 80s, Mark would've turned Levy into chunky salsa without a second thought, and nobody would question it.

This has got to be the most disturbing trend I've seen so far in modern day. People being unable to separate fact from fiction and hating a fictional character for something the author makes them do. These people need help. They need shrinks to drill it into their heads that these characters are constructs that were made by other human beings.

I know I shouldn’t be surprised they used a boot leg spider-man, But somehow I am still dissapointed. Maybe they could’ve afforded him if Amazon hadn’t wasted all that money on The rings of power crap.

I know people will cope with how it makes sense with the plot and all that. And to be fair they did it as close as they could to avoid lawyer’s wrath . But there’s no denying it was disappointing.

tbf to Amazon, Disney is really stingy when it comes to other people using any of the IPs they own (even in parody). If Sony or Marvel had full control over Spider-Man, they probably could've gotten away with it.
 
Walter Goggins doing his best wasn't enough to make up for the sheer lack of JK Simmons this season. Also them not having scenes together sucked. ALSO, the mid season break was mega gay.
 
Angstrom Levy's probably my favorite villain so far and now he's dead. I guess that's part of the old "deconstruction", can't have an Archvillain last more than one episode.

Levy was a moron. He can make a portal anywhere. Just make one that sends Invincible to a dimension where Earth no longer exists and he can no longer come back to his original home. Instead he fights him in a world where his friends were literally waiting for him to kill Levy and had invented time travel to get him back home. But not Time Travel to deal with Omni Man or the Viltrumites? The actual threat?

This is just following his fakeout death in the comics, he comes back later on.
 
God, I wonder if season 3 will feature just the Invincibles War and the last scene of the season will be Conquest showing up ready to fuck shit up OR they'll be able to afford a longer season and have that scene as a mid-season.

I sincerely hope they do not split the season in two parts, but if they do, don't take a 3 months pause and release it after a month for God's sake.

They also did not include Dupli-Kate's brother arc, but they showed him in one of the cells early on in this season, with no lines and no backstory provided for either of the characters.

I also wonder how they will handle the Flaxans arc with Robot and Amanda in the future seasons.

You can still find the image on rule34. Social media will have a field day when they'll feature that scene, even though it's so later on...
