Viltrumites fight like fucking fighting game characters who need to build meter before they can use the knife hand attack.
There should be no reason for them to ever fight in other ways otherwise, it's retarded.

To think, Mark would be able to no-diff the entire setting if he had the forethought to get a single lesson of karate training.
 
You know, everyone loves to throw the "Viltrumites beat X,Y,Z" whatever because do anyone has caught on with the fact that they never demonstrated at any point to have any resistance towards psychic powers?

Meaning that you can have their entire army attack Earth only for Professor X to look outside his window, tap his forehead and suddenly every Viltrumite thinks they are a little girl playing hopscotch (thats the nice version) or think that flying towards the Sun is the best course of action (thats the not so nice version)

The moment they fight anyone with any telepathic powers, it is usually over.

Viltrumites are in fact a comedically weak species in the grand scheme of things.
They die the moment they go up against anything less straightforwards, and are typically so fucking stupid they won't even think to avoid it. Soul fuckery, mind fuckery, matter manipulation, whatever, they are fucked.
Not that you'd need to bother Prof X considering that Thor crushes their whole species.

Yeah but it is interesting to see how they would react when dealing with an adversary they cant just punch away or with a power their smart atoms cant cover.

Its kind of weird there are none of those unique powers that would make a Viltrumite's life difficult. Then again, I doubt Robert Kirkmann would want his take on kryptonians to not be semi-unstoppable.

Thats when it dawns on you that Viltrumites couldnt even take over Pokemon's Earth because they literally cant fight back against Psychic, Ghost and Fairy types as most can turn intangible, force them to fall asleep or put them into a confused state where they'll attack anything, including allies and even themselves. And Im not even talking Legendaries here that have absurd pokedex feats

Honestly, a lot this matchups could be even if Viltrumites used the one organ they seem dimutive in: their brains. It is fascinating how a species that lives for thousands of years, had technologues considered too advanced for most alien life, and boasted a vast empire lacks anything to show for it. No MMA type of fighting, no sophisticated weaponry to aid against tougher foes, no coordinated planning or teamwork, nothing. Not a thing. Kirkman wrote his supposedly superhuman species to be more akin to Neathertals with mediocre powers. No, actually even cavemen would have greater potential than the average Viltrumite!

The only time we see mention of strategy and weapons usage was when Nolan & Allen were going around collecting Viltrumite weaknesses (of which we know are way more than what was shown). Why didn't they just glass Talescria from a distance once the guard was down? Why didn't they create freezer technology to hold Rag'noor's then genetically modify them to work as subservient mitant guarddogs? If the bugs work against them, then they've got to work on some lesser species, why not manifacture chemical defenses? They were damn near destroyed by Thaedus & his Scourge Virus, so you'd think they'd be less willing to throw bodies at their problems. But no.

They can't win against Thor & Prof. X types, but a little forward thinking would help max out their normal stats or boost their chances with others. What a bunch of morons. Did Kirkman write it so they killed all their smart guys during the Purge? Or is it just him being low-IQ?

I can understand this one to a degree, if you lived in a society where the strong were encouraged to kill the weak you wouldn't want to teach anyone how to be a better fighter. However, this should have led to every Viltrumite having their own unique styles and we only see that with Thula (hair knife lady).

Haven't been watching season 4, but there's been two threads on /co/ that were posting a whole bunch of actual fanart for the new Tech Jacket. Why is this what breaks the dam for getting fanart of a girl out of this show?

My point wasn’t that Adam isn’t justified in his anger, his behavior, or his viewpoints, or that he’s worse than mass murderers etc. only that he does come off in a way that is generally unlikable.
I see your viewpoint, and I do not dislike Adam’s character, I sympathize with him and don’t think he’s in the wrong as many people think he is. Nevertheless his attitude is generally irritating and negative, it makes it hard to relate to him on a deeper level.

Get your head out of your ass and stop acting like a retard that cannot grasp nuance, I am simply pointing out; yes, he is logistically and morally right, but on the surface he is what one would consider “unlikable” to watch due to his grating personality. There is no deeper meaning to my initial message.
