Not calling out the donations was a good call. It didn't seem like a cash grab. Not getting distracted by the chat and speaking amongst themselves made it more candid. It's surprising some kiwi's didn't enjoy it, but not everyone likes the same things. It would be good to see another Ambercon in the future.

Yeah, for the record I also liked it. Michael did a good job of hosting it and bringing up discussion topics so it didn’t seem like a group of friends just talking amongst (and about) themselves.

We might as well make a thread.

One of the mods was selling her patches.
Another person was selling her T-Shirts.
The videos are monetized.
There were donations if they didn't want them they should have specified it.
When you preach about AL making money off of her fatness and turn around and do the same it kind of makes you look like a hypocrite.

Point is, AL says people like Michael and Co talk shit to make money off of her well, she's not wrong here..(trust me it pains me to even write that)things are getting a bit clique-like.
And usually what happens with those type of situations is they become their own cows.
We have seen this with many other lolcows like DSP with the Sons of Kojima etc etc
Not saying they are like SoK but things go tits up when a group is centered around drama.
They end up eating one another.

If people enjoyed it, awesome. Personally not so much for me. When a group of folks form a clique to talk about a cow eventually they will talk shit about one another and they all end up turning on eachother. It's happened before.

This entire website is literally centered around drama. They’re doing the exact same thing but as a microcosm. Who gives a shit if they make $20 from it, we are giving AL thousands.

I didn't realize we were all selling t-shirts, getting donations and we all were making videos about AL calling one another a "family"
The website makes money to keep it running. We observe her, we aren't making money off of her.

I dont know about you but I watch her on hooktube. Also if she makes money off of it she makes money off of it, it's more content to observe and laugh at.

I don’t understand why that bothers you, though. We are pumping thousands of dollars into Ambers binge fund for free. Why get upset over people seizing the opportunity to make a (very small) fraction of that by putting a face to the name of the “haters”? Its harmless and hilarious and drives her absolutely insane. Win/win IMO.

Im not even upset I am just pointing out what is wrong with YT Personality Critic communities and what eventually happens to them.
Nothing is stopping them doing what they are doing but when they start to do the things they critise the cow they are making fun of and observing that's when things start merging into cow territory for them.
It always ends up with people getting a swollen head from their own asspatters.
They in turn make their own bubble.

They were deleting and banning people for voicing opinions in the chat. I dont even mean AL asspatters, people who were asking about the merch and donations etc.
 
If you think about it, this website does accept donations, I assume to support the site. They are technically providing those with entertainment thus getting donations to help support their channels. I don't really see the issue, also the panel wasn't watching the chat, so that is on the "Mods" they have doing the deleting of comments.

One of the mods was the one selling merchandise.

Look again, if you all enjoyed it, great. I feel like it was a conversation that could have happened between the folks who organized it. There was no participation with the chat at all. It was a bunch of people who kinda know one another chatting.
Yes the site does and the site also has tons and tons of cows and a lot of work and coding goes into it, I am saying that people who claim to be disgusted AL is making money being fat are making money off AL being FAT.

There is no moral high ground here when you profit off of it too.

I think some are upset the Youtubers get paid (or some do) for what we do fof free. And some disagree with the views of some of them. In other words, no nothing is different but we farmers love to bitch about everything.

Also, to the user complaining about the mods in the chat deleting comments, my comment on here saying something nice about the stream got removed. It isn't exactly restricted just to "drama YouTuber" mods.
 
I'm all for talking shit. It's my favourite passtime. But it's stupid that some of these youtubers (ZM) do it in the guise of morality. I unsubscribed after his "transphobia" tirade. I don't give a shit about that. I just want to see how much AL can eat in one sitting, and then laugh about how she denies it later (or during "I don't really like ahhhgs"). She can walk around in full KKK sheets giving a nazi salute and burning the American flag. I don't give a shit. I just want to be amazed at her constant weigh gain.

With the exception of one slimy bag of B.O. and excess flabby ogre skin, everyone in the Ambercon stream seemed fine on the rare occasion they were able to get a word in. However, it would not surprise me to see a viral news story about a black man in Palm Springs who had the police called on him for LITERALLY EXISTING in Drumpf's Amerikkka (ie: acting like a cunt) only to scroll down and see this "black" man's name was Michael Lawrence. A "muh daily struggle" video by him would be as lolsy and deranged as anything by our gorl.

Gorl, have you never watched one of his response videos? He brings it up every time. I haven't watched the entire Ambercon stream yet, but I bet you 10 orange chicken dinners from Cheesecake Factory he somehow found a way to work it into the conversation.
