Agreed - it's something I struggle to theorize because the body was never meant to deal with shit like this, so you have to apply physics as well as physiology. The downward force of fluid & there's a TON of it in each leg is going to remorselessly force fluid out of any weak spot in her skin & I can't see even the most expert bandaging preventing that. It's an interesting medical discussion, really. I can see her just getting used to all this shit that screams at her that her body is breaking down. But the cankle thing is in a category by itself. I kind of see it as her being initially uncomfortable with it the way an athlete like a rower or gymnast were uncomfortable with blisters on their hands, but getting more comfortable as time went on as they developed callouses. If we think her skin is stretched, and her cankles have the extra burden of freefall in gravity and being the lowest point in her body with fluid finding its way there, if she had a split right about the callous level, it could be like he Titianic hitting that iceberg at the waterline. Except instead of taking on water and sinking, she'd be leaking all over the damn place as her lymphatic system found another route. What do you think?
LSS - I suspect she already leaks like a sieve & over time, that's only going to get worse.
