I doubt she reads much. She named herself as her favorite writer, when someone asked her about it. No one who actually reads and loves books can't tell you who their favorite author is, when asked.

It was her favorite poet not author. She has noted her favorite author is jodi picoult (not the greatest of writers but at least it wasn't herself).

Yeah, most sociopaths aren't the way they're portrayed in movies, series, books etc. Most tend to end up in shitty situations because of the way they are and try to avoid responsibility or get out easy, and once they do get out of that they end up in another shitty situation and so on and so on.
I think Amber could very well be a sociopath, but who gives a shit. We're not going to know the answer unless she gets diagnosed with it and she wouldn't tell anyone so it's just a waste of time.
The media depiction of a sociopath just bothers me because it misinforms people and i wanted to address it. Don't crucify me lol.

Oh god. That explains everything, from the purple prose to the overblown emotion to the subject matter.

I wonder if A has any idea what published writing actually entails? It'd be worth it just to see the passive-aggressive stropping as she had to rewrite for the fortieth time or got told to scrap it altogether - and editors/publishers don't wrap it up in flowery language, just say "this is shite!" Or, god forbid, her starting the way many writers do, either ghosting or commission - wonder if it's "like, life" to do all that work but not have your name shown?

Nobody who can write thinks they can and all those who can't think they are geniuses. Which is why publishers have slush piles ten feet high. She seems to have this idealistic vision of herself doing all sorts of things, but they all come direct from a trash novel or TV series. Its bizarre that someone could get to her age and still harbour these illusions.

I wonder what a big meal would look like in Amber's eyes.
She says the big pasta plate isn't much and devoured it like a starving beast.

It would be so much more interesting if she showed us how she eats her third plate too

Honestly I think these massive portions are so normal to her and that she lies to herself so fucking much that she has absolutely no idea what normal eating looks like.

There is absolutely no way she keeps track of every thing she eats. I don't believe for a second all she had was a wrap or that the pasta is the last thing she's going to eat. She's never taught herself to endure a little bit of hunger.

It's also so hard to judge the size of things in front of Big Al as there's nothing to compare it with. Big Al's own size isn't totally apparent until you see her stood next to an average person, so what looks like a normal portion/plate in front of her would probably look 3x bigger in front of anyone else.

I find her mukbangs to be highly entertaining. Her brain is on auto-pilot saying random words as her entire world is focused on piling more food into her mouth, which is real, her thirst for food. The fact that she does it for profit is somewhat revolting, but hey.

Its because shes getting a rush from eating same rush as an alcoholic or addict has when they score their DoC. Food is Amber's DoC shes riding high off of eating large quantities. It's not even the taste of the food that's doing it's the volume of it.
