Amberlynn Reid - 600 pound pathological liar and U-Haul lesbian moving in with her next live-in maid/nurse/girlfriend.

Amber already spoiled her own weight loss on instagram.

She's down 16.6 total, but about 8 since the start of the year.

Notice how she has to make everything so dam confusing. She rambles about taking her highest weight, then her January weight, then her current weight, then the total percentage lost since her highest weight. I swear it took her 10 minutes for her to do all the "maths". Just shut up - give us your January weight, weigh yourself, and tell us how much you lost. It's not that difficult.

Most habitual liars will do something similar. They go into mind-numbing, convoluted details in hopes that people will get lost in the explanations (or just tune out).

She did something similar while explaining why she goes to the grocery store so much. She took the food she was talking about out of the freezer, moved packages around back and forth, all the while making it as confusing as possible to understand what she was actually saying.

It sounds like a way to exaggerate net weight lost.

Let's say you're a man of average height and slightly overweight , 5'9" and 190 lb, and you want to drop 30 pounds. You lose the 30, start your crappy eating habits back up again , gain 20 and then catch yourself and lose another 20 to get down to 160.

Technically, you lost 50 lbs, but it's a net loss of 30, so 30 is the figure you would tell everybody.

In Hamberlynn's case, it would be binging to 550 6 months ago, and then calculating her January weight loss from the highest figure so it looks like she lost 66 rather than 16 pounds.

She has actually made a comment before that she's lost "hundreds of pounds." Because she'd lose, gain, lose, gain, etc.

Well. I mean I think he's right. She has fucked herself and I really do think the only thing that might (big might) save her is gastric surgery. The big might is because I don't know how compliant she'd ever be. Realistically, I think I can -- as a almost year old AL viewer -- say that she won't be compliant with surgery and will maybe lose a little bit but not what she needs to. It might be that she gets WLS and loses an initial 50 or 60(or more) and gets fucking inspired but of what I know of her, I can't see it.

Good for this dude though for losing his own weight.

A lot of us forget that despite the publicity it gets, My 600 Pound Life isn't really an accurate portrayal of bariatrics in most of North America.

Dr. Younan Nowzaradan is an anomaly in that he will operate on patients that are 500 lbs+. In fact, it wasn't too long ago he was respected for his technical proficiency, but viewed as something of a cowboy.

Most bariatric surgeons will not operate on women over 300-350 lbs and men over 350-400 lbs. The risks of infection and blood loss are exponentially higher on truly massive patients. Many doctors also view such massive bodyweights as a problem that is more psychiatric and less metabolic in nature, and don't want to waste resources on patients with a statistically insignificant chance of success and virtually nil compliance rate.

The sad fact is that most people this size do, in fact, eat themselves to death. They eat until they become immobile, and then succumb to death via aspiration pneumonia or a septic open sore.

She really won't succeed unless she gets medical help. IANAD, but if I was her GP, I'd have her referred to a dietitian who can work with her to develop a diet she can stick to, and physical therapy like an Aqua-cize class so she can move without so much stress on her joints. Her biggest risk, honestly, is spraining or breaking something and becoming bedbound- she'll be bored and isolated and she's surrounded by enablers, so it would be a death sentence.

Well I’m sure we’re all surprised that Amber hasn’t posted today even though it’s over an hour past her usual posting time. Only yesterday she was talking about doing 100 days of vlogging

That's how she operates. If she sets a goal, consider it unmet from the outset. She couldn't follow through if there were a double stuffed crust pepperoni pizza on the other side.

How does she weigh roughly the same amount now but is so much bigger?

I wonder if we'll see a video today. She could be going back to her 6pm upload time but she's been uploading around 1pm everyday for quite a few days in a row.

I think it'd be quite fitting if AL quit on daily vlogging the day after saying "I'd like to try vlogging for 100 days in a row".

Like most adults, big gorl had a "snow day" during which she laboriously colored cartoons from a child's coloring book.

She's taking off the weekend and MLK day too.
