I agree, even if the source isn't legit, some of that tea has to be just by coincidence through past behavior we've seen (doesn't shower or change clothes often). It's pretty clear she's avoiding admitting she was talking shit to save face. Also the "I mean if you really feel the need to do so" speaks volumes - if she were telling the truth and was AL's friend/liked her/whatever, she'd be a little more enthusiastic about defending Amberlynn. People who haven't done anything wrong generally have no issue with clearing the air if necessary and moving on with their life.
