In my book any job is a job. Then everything else. I couldn't do this particular job neither but a job is still a job and I give Ricky credit for having one and for keeping it.
I didn't know Eric filed for disability. I can't judge how easily or difficult it is in the US but here where I live it's quite difficult. They try ways to 'force' you to get a job - any job - and the gov money isn't really much. I would say the low of basic living and it takes quite a long time to get approved or not. Of course there are people who abuse it and there are those who really need it.
Anxiety IS a bad thing and it CAN ruin your life but it's also something that can be dealt with through professional help but if you never even try then nothing will change.
I don't know if he did or didn't apply for disability, but if he did apply it's going to be a hell of a time proving that his anxiety alone is enough to keep him from working. There are so many other jobs that he could potentially do that would limit his interaction with the public if that was a serious, legitimate issue or he could get a job with reasonable accommodations (like taking periodic breaks when he's feeling anxious) that the government would pretty much laugh at the case until it was proven to be a truly debilitating condition. Vlogging on YouTube isn't exactly helping, either.
