My guess is that she was hoping to lose some weight while putting out old videos and do a reveal as soon as that happened while collecting pity points by "showcasing" how harder it is for her to lose weight than any other person on the planet.

Most people, judging by the comments, saw Amber's "struggles" for what they really are - excuses, and Amber is none too happy about it.
