@Turd Fergusson Attention. Amber's numbers are plummeting and she can barely get 1 million anymore. She thinks going on 600 lb life will reinvigorate her cowdom. Amber does not realize though she is not a celebrity but a lolcow and does not realize once its gone, its gone.

Amber's legacy views are less than 20k, which with her CPM is about $40 a day x 30 = $1200. Her CPM is at probable $2 due to her being hidden and demonetized a lot.

I have said 20k because in these kinds of stats you have to go with the lowest rather than the highest because she does not like to upload.

This is the episode views for 600lb life in terms of rating and it's fairly consistent.

Until you look at the total views and it is a very different story. There are various speculations that due to various factors that the show may be ending but that hub-bub currently. None of the negative attention is on Dr. Now as he is apparently a very nice guy.

It is apparent that with how TLC is creating other shows and is slowly veering away from depending on the show. Amber may of missed the train on this one.

Those numbers are very interesting. Her problem with going to MSHPL is that she does not realize that she will be out of social media, including Instagram and youTube for at least one year, possibly two years. So, if she will disappear from view for that long, in 2024 or 2025, she suddenly comes back to YouTube, but who will remember her? She will have been replaced by someone else.

I agree that the show has probably run its course. Channels like TLC have to pursue new ideas and can't rely too much on shows like MSHPL if they do not want to be seen as stale. For Amber that train has passed.

Oh yes, the embargo on her social media would murder her metrics. I think she does not realize either that she will lose all autonomy too meaning she is at the mercy of editing. A messy edit would fuck her hard and it is all depending on how they like her. Amber thrives on any kind of attention but the 2 years away would kill her financially.

They can always refuse to air the episode because they don't find it engaging and this could always be the case. I think she would ham it up and be like Steve Asanti but it won't go well.

The reality show genre shows at least 1 constant. If a show is successful, a number of spin offs or copies hit the air waves within a year or 2 but ultimately the audiences get bored more quickly because that specific part of the market is over saturated.

When MSPL first aired, it was for many people, a glimpse into an entirely new world but years later; we've seen too many patients & the formula has lost much of its appeal.

To an extent, I'd argue that applies to YouTube & other social media as well. How often can we listen to or watch a growing number of money hungry death fats reeing for attention? They've tried cross pollinating with SJW issues, BoPo & HAES but ultimately what we see is people getting fatter & able to do less as they do so.

Amber, Jen, Chantal. Anna & many. many others may find their appeal has at best, leveled off & without anything fresh in their stories, their audience will start drifting off to the next big thing... whatever that proves to be. Jen is bed bound in hospital & Chantal... is adding loaded fuel cars to her upcoming spectacular train wreck. Even those 2 are going to find that without some forward momentum, fewer & fewer are interested.

Amber is playing this all wrong I suspect, finally. She's never been good at adjusting & at this point in time, she may find she has more than levelling off to worry about.
