Anything for easy money... but not the easiest way to make the most money.... I wonder why?
I don't get it, either. There's "not wanting to stir up shit with your crazy ex", but her crazy ex can't walk more than five feet without gasping for breath, so it can't be fear of physical harm. Maybe she doesn't want to get into a battle with Hamber. But the thing is (Becky, pay attention): she doesn't have to. Not directly. We know people are bringing this bullshit to her attention. If I were her, or she were asking me what to do.....
What she could do is say, "That isn't accurate at all." then go over some points - to start. Doesn't have to be really in depth right off the bat. I'd then back up top the very beginning of things, and start telling the story of those four years, start to finish, in easily manageable, bite sized, 15 minute blocks. Why this?
One. Context. nothing happens in a vacuum, even Hamber's "cancer" crap. But that "cancer" crap would then be in a fuller context, behind the scenes-wise than if Becky just told that story alone.
Two. Emotional. Telling the entire story all at once would be draining, because the relationship was draining. It's the same as not being able to eat an elephant in one sitting, or not being able to uncover a lost city in a single afternoon. It's just too much. So you start carving away at it, in a logical, thoughtful way.
Three. Other viewpoints. If you do it like this, it's possible to get other people to talk about their perspective on events, overall moods, accuracy, historical context, and so on. Let's face it, we don't all remember everything perfectly all the time, and sometimes we're blinded by our own views to the point it's possible we miss things or we have created a bits of things that may be wishful thinking or not as we tell them. This would necessarily entail getting others to be willing to speak on camera, or on audio, but there's a wide variety of people to choose from. Others have already given the obvious, but what about the side players? Becky's sister Misty - no friend of the Farms, of course - would probably be willing to rip Hamber a new one, but people like that, unless they have intimate knowledge of the happenings, should be advised to tone it down or skipped altogether if they can't. Libby - historical context, since she knew Hamber during the Destiny era. Charla - same. Hell, even Krystle's family could offer up some observations. The good point with these people is that they don't know Becky, so they have no axe to grind with her, as Hamber does. Since they're not people who owe Hamber anything, are very likely no longer in contact with her, and cannot be threatened by her over anything, they are more likely to be honest.
Four. Financial. This is fairly obvious, of course. Such a series would be a great boon for Becky, financially. Who knows, maybe after telling her story, she'd develop an interest in
telling other peoples' stories. Or about anything else. She could really make YouTube a career based on it, with a little work.
Five. Therapeutic. Keeping things like abusive relationships bottled up is no good for anyone. Poor man's therapy, but it has been since the beginning of time.
This kind of shit is why I fully believe she's been pampered and babied for most of her life. Normal people don't expect to be catered to in such an extreme manner, let alone those who have grown up rough.
She definitely has been. She has only been on her own, living alone, for a very, very brief period of time. The rest ofthe time, she's been taken care of by the family of her girlfriend (Casey, Krystle) or by the girlfriend and assorted friends (Destiny, Becky), either financially or otherwise. Whylearn to drive? Someone else can! Why learn to cook? Someone else can, or there's always eating or ordering out. The best thing that could happen to Hamber would be for the gf of the moment to leave and no one else be willing to move in.
No all of us "stan" Becky. I think if Hamber wasn't such a shit person, she'd have happily stayed there.
That said: Hamber, go fuck yourself. You are in fact being rude. you know it, we know it. You're an unreliable narrator at best, given that you're a pathological liar. None of your stories make sense, and unlike the good times of 2018, people are not allowing your bullshit and inconsistencies slide and it's pissing you off. To that I say: good. It's about time you got a dose of how things work in the real world. With any luck, your MG,W will fuck off and you won't have been cheating on her (your words) with someone else online who is stupid enough to chain you, the 500 pound anchor, to their own leg and toss you off the pier.
