No. The new points system is smart points. The website has a different calculator for "old points" which were used until the end of 2015.

Does it matter, anyway? Debatable. AL is going to have an excuse for everything, regardless of whether of not she has "extra points" on her side. How do we know this was even her drink and that Becky didn't drink this while she chugged a whole bottle of Baileys? We don't.

Regardless, drinking 25% of your daily calorie allowance in a single glass is far from success when it comes to weight loss. Even with 45 extra points for the week, two drinks and she's burned through all but 3 of them. AL loves to pretend she's a lightweight but there's no way one shot is getting her drunk, not with how often she drinks and how much she weighs. So either she's trying to get drunk and is completely giving up on her weight loss goals to do so, or she's not trying to get drunk and she's having a 420 calorie drink because..?

Alcohol is terrible for you in terms of calories, it's literally the most calorie dense thing we know of [7 calories per gram]. Not to mention that it screws with muscle production due to it limiting your body's ability to synthesize protein [not an issue for her true]. If you're trying to get yourself in better shape it's something you should avoid as much as possible.

Afaik calories from clear spirits like vodka (and tequila? don't remember) won't be stored as fat 'cause alcohol is poison to the body. So your body focuses on burning that first, and then any food you eat while drinking. If you don't eat much (or anything) while drinking, you shouldn't gain weight from drinking clear spirits. However this is Amber, we all know she eats two pizzas and three pints of ice cream and a family size bag of chips while she's drunk.

This is from a few pages back, but this comment reminded me SO much of Ruby Gettinger, that red-haired woman who had her own reality show ("Ruby") from 2008 - 2011 or so. At her highest she was around 700lbs and during the TV show she got down into the 300's and she felt positively skinny at that weight, flaunting herself around and saying "I'm skinny now!" Ruby reminds me sooo much of Amber in her mannerisms, too. Pronouncing words incorrectly, being obnoxious, guilting her enablers, etc. IIRC her show was cancelled because she never made consistent progress with her weight loss and admitted to binging whenever the cameras left. She also talked about how she learned how to lean a certain way when she did her on camera weigh-ins and she could shift the scale by 30-50lbs by doing so.

Edit: Ruby also claimed to have NO memories before the age of 13, which is when he said her weight loss problem began. She and Amber should be BFF's with how they play the troubled childhood victim card.

Last I heard she is still active on social media trying to "inspire" people to fight their battle with weight loss, while she remains just as fat as ever. Amber will be headed down a similar path of never succeeding in consistently getting healthier unless she loses the attitude/completely changes her personality.
