I noticed quite a few people in her YT comments saying that today's video had finally convinced them to unsub.
Got curious and checked Big Al's Socialblade:
696163

Turns out that while her views are only down by about 4% over the last month, her subs are down by a whopping 37%.

Not a great trend for our gorl. Better start churning out some sympathy videos and mukbangs to gain some new viewers because as it turns out people don't seem to love sass and "highly requested" Torrid hauls as much as you think they do.

Apart from the possible blow to her ego, does it matter if people unsubscribe? She's said before she doesn't get paid based on subscribers, but on the number of views.

Probably not, but it might make a difference in how often her videos get recommended (not sure what all goes into the algorithm tbh), and if people aren't subscribed they're less likely to remember to watch her videos.

It's interesting that people are actually following through and unsubbing though.

If I'm reading it correctly, she actually has a net gain in subscribers every month. She's down only on the magnitude of that net gain compared to last month.

I'm fully convinced after the change of plans video that she is fully embracing the meme and/or waiting to become so infamous, someone with deep contacts eventually drives up to Kentucky to TV deal.

And the name of the show? My Big Fat Fabulous 600 Pound Life. Non-negotiable.

Think about it. Either be labeled 600 elbees and be a sooperstarr or remain smalltime yootoob celery and be a dainty 564 elbees.

Something I've been waiting to see is for all her untreated ailments (laygh pain, beetus, etc.) To gang up and hit her at once. I think her youth has been the only thing to keep her alive so far. I'm surprised nothing has put her down hard yet.

The only way other deathfats see past 30 is with a lot of doctor support and lots of medication, without any help we can count on her not seeing another round of Christmas present bribery.

Unsubscribing would probably mess with her recommendation algorithm but I would expect that most people who watch without subscribing likely have Adblock on. People like us likely don't subscribe and we sure as hell don't watch with ads so I'd assume many of those views don't give her anything as they aren't fans and are either casual or hate watchers

Although I don't sit through advertisements for her every single time, I want Amber to get as much money as possible. It only further proves the point that she's a failure without willpower. Even with the resources the all-mighty dollar offers for weight loss aids, she spends it on junkfood and crap.

People nowadays have short attention span are too busy and need all the reminders they can get. When they cancel the sub, they won't get alerts that she posted and are less likely to watch.

True, but if they frequent this place they'll know she posted a new video when someone makes the thread for it.

Yeah, but most people who frequent the farms have ad blockers in place, and many of us aren't even watching the videos anymore. I, for one, am relying on summaries and comments from other users to get the big picture (no pun intended).

Yeah I'm not buying that Destiny has any kind of problem with that book. Quotes from the girl herself:

"That's great."
"That's funny."
"I think it's cool, actually, too, that y'all have gotten this creative."
"It's really interesting."
"I'll definitely do a coloring video for you guys."

All interspersed with Destiny laughing and chuckling. I mean it is fucked up, but that doesn't mean Destiny can't also approve and think it's hilarious.

Unfortunately I don't think people are unsubscribing. I'm pretty sure that that -37.5% is representing the amount of new subs for the past 30 days compared to the 30 days before it. Looking at her sub count she had a huge jump in January. Between 12/1/18 and 1/1/19 she gained ~9.5k subscribers. Also, she's been in the green since (at the very least) March 3rd with +200 new subs each day (:_(

I agree that majority of that number represents the slowdown in new subs, but looking at her daily sub activity, she definitely lost some subscribers after yesterday's video which put her in the red for a bit.

That said, it will obviously take a lot more than this to affect her bottom line. Although it's somewhat interesting to see the tide turning a bit, I'm mostly curious to see if Amber will bother to change up her content or her attitude if things continue to head down this path.
