Amos Yee to this very day still fascinates me. I'll never forget how I saw this dude practically nuke his reputation 10 times over in his heyday. Like I mean, when dudes are outted as sex pests, they usually have to get their discords or dms leaked, but Amos really just came straight out of the gate advocating for children to have sex with adults and when pressed on if he's just fucking around, he kept insisting with a straight face that he was serious about it. What an amazing hill to die on.

And regarding his current situation, I think he'll just lie low. No one wants to be affiliated with him. He completely destroyed every possible bridge that could exist. Well, I think there's actually one last trick he could do... Troon out and try to get the LGBT+ community to be on his side. They usually protect their own, no matter how vile they are.

The funniest part about all of this he had a golden ticket to the United States of all places and threw it aside with reckless abandon. It was a slam dunk case for asylum since there was no way he’d be deported over breaking a speech law. If he just shut the hell up he could have had permanent residency at this point but like every pedo he just has to brag about it.

So far the only newspaper that seems to have done any due diligence is a Malaysian paper called The Star:

As a result of his offences, he is required to be listed on the sex offender registry, and also faces possible deportation from the US as his asylum status could be revoked.

At his sentencing in December 2021, he had been advised by Judge Carol Howard that pleading guilty to the charges meant he could be deported, denied admission to the US, or denied naturalisation as a US citizen in the future. The convictions could also affect his ability to obtain housing, employment and other licences, including a driver’s licence.

The Straits Times has contacted the US Department of Justice to find out the conditions of Yee’s parole, as well as US Immigration and Customs Enforcement to learn if he will be deported.

One hopes attention from international news media about this disgrace will light a fire under their asses.

BUT, Amos only has to serve a normal prison sentence just like anybody else who dodged service, then possibly serve his mandatory military service after
his asylum status was from a freedom of speech position i think, that he would be prosecuted in relation to words he spoke/wrote (illegal in Singapore)

I think that it was a state prosecution may make it not mandatory but if they do go ahead they'll win because it's the direct analogy to a federal law. And the judge (who apparently is notoriously lenient to criminals hence the ridiculous sentence) did warn him of that as a possible consequence.

He’s back in custody

Singaporean Amos Yee has been taken into custody in the United States again, a month after he was released on parole halfway through his jail term.

According to a message from the victim notification network on Wednesday (Nov 8. Singapore time, Yee, 25, was admitted under the custody and control of the Illinois Department of Corrections on Tuesday.

The message said he was held at the Stateville Correctional Center, a maximum security prison in Crest Hill, Illinois.

CNA has contacted the Illinois Department of Corrections for more information, including why Yee was taken into custody.

Yee was released on parole on Oct 7 about halfway through his six-year jail term for grooming a teenage girl online and asking her for naked pictures of herself.

The Illinois Department of Corrections did not reveal the conditions of his parole, but he was registered as a sex offender.

He was sentenced on Dec 3, 2021 after pleading guilty to charges of grooming and possessing child pornography. Sixteen other charges were dismissed as part of a plea deal that Yee agreed to. The jail term was backdated to his arrest in October 2020.

The court heard previously that Yee had befriended the victim, a 14-year-old girl, in February 2019. Yee was 20 then. The court heard he used WhatsApp to “seduce, solicit and lure” the victim, then distributed photographs of her online.

Yee was arrested by US marshals in October 2020 at his apartment in Chicago's Norwood Park East neighbourhood. He pleaded guilty to the charges after a plea deal was agreed.

In response to CNA's queries about Yee's asylum status and if he will be deported to Singapore, US Immigration and Customs Enforcement said on Oct 13 that it was unable to comment at this time "due to privacy concerns".

It has been more than six years since Yee was granted asylum by a US immigration court, despite opposition from the Department of Homeland Security.

In 2015, Yee was jailed in Singapore for wounding religious feelings by making remarks about Christians. About a year later, Yee was jailed again and fined on a similar charge, this time for making remarks about Christians and Muslims.

Let me share this gem he wrote in his blog AFTER his first release. Basically he think he’s the victim.

If it was some kind of error in paroling him in the first place then i'm fucking horrified. I mean by his own admission he went in front of his parole board, as a convicted sex offender of children, said he supported NAMBLA and that if he met some 14 year old he was interested in he'd do the same shit that got him arrested in the first place and he somehow got paroled anyway? I'm not sure which is worse - an error or the parole board saying 'yup, this guy deserves to get paroled' and letting him out. I mean he literally admitted he's a danger to the public and very likely to reoffend sooner or later. If his release was intentional then everyone on that parole board deserves the full fury of the parents of whatever little girl he tried to fuck after getting released and the full wrath of their lawyers

SINGAPORE - Amos Yee was sent back to a United States prison on Tuesday, one month after he was released on parole.
He had been paroled on Oct 7, more than three years ahead of his original release date in 2026.
The Singaporean is now in the custody of the Stateville Correctional Centre – a maximum-security state prison in Illinois – according to the VineLink mobile app, which notifies on the current status of offenders.

The reason for his re-incarceration is unknown.
While out on parole, the 25-year-old had made two blog posts.
In the first post on Oct 23, he gave small glimpses into what life in prison and on parole was like, discussing the conditions of his parole, and his plan to return to Singapore, even though he was aware that he would have to be imprisoned for defaulting on his national service obligations.

The second, posted on Nov 5, was titled “6 Impressive Things I Want to Do”, with one of the goals on the list being “(making) ‘defending pedophiles’ popular”.
He had previously been sentenced to six years’ jail at the Illinois River Correctional Centre, a medium-security state prison, for grooming a teenage girl and possessing child pornography.
His offences were committed in February 2019 when he repeatedly asked a 14-year-old girl living in Texas to send him nude photos of herself, with him returning in kind. He engaged in role-play and sexual fantasies with her, exchanging thousands of messages.
The Chicago Sun-Times daily reported then that the girl had mentioned her age multiple times in messages with Yee on WhatsApp.
Yee – who was 20 at the time and living in Cook County, Chicago – instructed her to remove her age from her WhatsApp profile.
He was arrested in October 2020. During sentencing, he had 16 other child pornography-related charges dismissed as part of a plea deal he accepted.
He has been listed on the sex offender registry in the US because of his offences, and his name, crime and home address are made available to the public online.

In his Oct 23 blog post, Yee said that he is not allowed to live near places with children, such as kindergartens and parks.
At his sentencing in December 2021, Judge Carol Howard told him that pleading guilty to the charges meant he could be deported, denied admission to the US or denied naturalisation as a US citizen in the future. Yee arrived in the US after fleeing Singapore in December 2016, a day before he was supposed to report for a medical examination ahead of his enlistment into national service.
He was granted political asylum in the US in 2017 after citing persecution for his political opinions, following two separate incidents that led to him being jailed twice in Singapore.
In 2015, he was given a four-week jail sentence after being charged with engaging in hate speech against Christians in a video he had posted on YouTube, as well as publishing an obscene image of founding prime minister Lee Kuan Yew.
The following year, he was charged with engaging in hate speech again after making comments in videos and blog posts that were derogatory of Christianity and Islam.
He pleaded guilty and was sentenced to six weeks’ jail and a $2,000 fine.

parole is there to limit the risk of re-offending, and he just said hes totally cool with re-offending AND going further than just pictures/videos
