It's a culture thing. Lee Kuan Yew is generally liked in Singapore (and China). Amos insulting the man in such a make was basically an attack on the Singaporean identity which in itself is fine, but he immediately used that to take refuge in America, cementing his identity as the nation's traitor. Also, Penal Code Section 377C defines child abuse material to include people below 16.
