Not a biologist, just interested in science, but while I'm pretty sure that most of the hybrids that can be produced are usually infertile (mules, ligers, etc.) more closely related species can produce viable and even fertile offspring. Viable just means it can survive, fertility is more important, since that would allow it to pass on its genes from both parent species and would explain the small amount of neanderthal DNA existing in modern humans.

True - although I don't think reproductive isolation is only considering the genetic component. Asian leopard cats and servals are wild animals, not generally living in the same environment as humans with pet cats, and if they did happen to run across a domestic cat in the wild they might be more likely to kill or eat it rather than have sex with it. Hell, apparently both servals and Asian leopard cats are considered both to be a different genus than domestic cats, not just different species - but when they're intentionally combined by human actions they can still produce viable and fertile offspring. They just likely never would in the wild.

Hello, I've been reading this thread for a while and I got to say @Amud, why do you care so much about the physical features of one's own head or other people's? So if a person's head is shape in an odd way than they are "supposedly" related to Neanderthals? And the evidences that you are brining to suggest this are papers or notes written by people without credentials? There is a reason why many people go into Phd or research, as they can develop and publish information that can help answer some of mankind's questions about the world. Telling those people who have spent years, for some - decades, that their papers/ research has no meaning simply because they "paid" to get a fancy paper, is a HUGE slap to the face to those who have dedicated their whole life to figuring out a solution to a problem.

So I should believe you and your evidence then, because you are a TRUE AND HONEST person who wouldn't lie? Nah, I rather stick with the people who have overcome Graduate school and earned a Phd in their chosen field.

By what standards are you judging someone as being nobilid/ignobilid? Gina Rinehart is pretty much one of the most highest ranking people in the world due to her net worth.
