It's the common SJW behavior of 'apply these things to someone/thing is clearly doesn't while simultaneously ignoring when it does apply'. He never made any mention, IIRC, of a part in the similarly popular Gravity Falls (thus just as ripe for asspats) in which is practically all but stated that a much younger character and minor antagonist was
subjected to Pavlovian Fear Conditioning by her own parents as a means of control.

It's kinda like how he and the others project trans status onto Samus but ignore characters like Vivian or Birdo or projecting the "strong independant wimmin who needs no man" onto Peach when it'd actually be in character for those like Wendy or Captain Syrup (whom Dobson ignores despite ripping her off wholesale)
It's basically a good sign that nothing is ever enough for these people.

Where I live, its clear that women are not prejudiced against geekness, but there are much less women interested in nerd stuff than men.
I'm not sure about the reason for this disparity and I don't want to guess and look like an idiot, but I never saw the few geek girls I have seen or met treated badly by nerd guys, or guys in general.
