Tate grew up in Luton, while Farmer was in London. Tate did four fights in London in a relatively close space from March 2013 to June 2014. I'd hazard MMA fights might be where you'd get the upper class and lower class rubbing shoulders. A lot of Tates connections, (e.g. Luke Barnatt) are people he was connected with through his early fighting career.

They must've gotten connected with Farmer before they decamped from the UK in 2017.
