Angry Joe / Joe Vargas / Jose Antonio Vargas / AngryJoeShow - Streamer, formerly made ANGRY REVIEWS, hates his fans

I don't know, there is too many people who can do it better. Maybe it's just his diehard fans with Stockholm syndrome?

They are. It's the same sort of situation that happened with Spoony, where hardcore fans support his laziness for no apparent reason.

The thing is, as the graph shows, that this kind of content does not bring new people IN. As Joe's core fanbase get older and start to lose interest in streams and such, he's going to see that effect his bottom line. It's not going to be IMMEDIATE, mind you. People still think he's going to return to making Angry Reviews again regularly. But it is going to happen at some point, as he alienates these people further by spamming more and more streams with no real content to show for it.

I'm confused by the second graph. It says "total subs per month" but then shows the line going down to almost zero-k which is obviously not his total subs (almost 3 million). Is it the monthly gain of subs? If so I'm sure he doesn't care.
The second graph refers to how many subscribers a content creator gets added to their total during a month.
Last month in July, Angry Joe only netted 2,030 subs...which is what he once pulled in on a daily basis.
The views he receives are mostly passive, meaning it is people watching older reviews of his. These are only temporary since the older a game gets, the less relevant it becomes and the less people will care to watch a review on it. Joe has not been restocking the cupboard with new content that people will care to watch in months and years to come.

I find it further interesting, albeit unsurprising, that Joe has plummeted down through the floor when it comes to subscribers in August thus far:

His reasons for not getting rid of the skits is because he wouldn't have anything else to pay Other Joe for. I imagine they get some sort of salary for showing up on streams and doing the movie reviews. Joe basically just pays them to agree with him. In the videos I saw, which I admit is not many and were also the earliest ones, they maybe contributed about a minute total of dialogue in videos that range from 30-40ish minutes. And most of the dialogue was just blindly agreeing with Joe. Other than that, they just nod, and occasionally laugh or repeat something Joe said.

If they have an opinion that disagrees slightly with Joe, he's very dismissive or sometimes "jokingly" insulting to them. To me, it always felt like Joe trying to act like the top dog, but it just came off as sad, especially since they really don't seem to care at all. It might just be the kind of friendship that they have, but eh, Joe seems to treat everyone like that. I know for some of the reviews Joe has also said he purchased multiplayer games for Other Joe or someone else to play for the sake of the review, despite them not appearing in the actual review itself outside of the skits.

I've never watched his streams, but some other people have mentioned they show up more there. They might be more active in those, but I doubt it. For whatever reason, Other Joe is weirdly popular with the fans. They seem to be pretty readily available, but I don't know if that's because they're unemployed or because Joe just schedules his stuff late enough in the day where work hours aren't an issue.

that sounds like a miserable friendship. at least spoony and miles had the excuse of growing up together and falling into a pattern when they talked (i often cut off/overtalk my more passive brother or end up sounding more aggresive to him then i mean if Im not paying attention), but it sounds like theyre there just so Joe has other people in the video, even if they have nothijg to say for the cast majority of the series. Sounds dull and egotistical.

Yeah if he keeps losing subs at that rate he won't have a channel anymore........ after 90 years.

Don't get me wrong, I think the situation is bullshit but I doubt this is even a blip on his radar. And there must be a lot of people out there that like 'GOT episode reviews' enough to stay subbed.

Alternatively, there could be a lot of lazy people that tend not to unsubscribe from YouTube Channels.

If he won't make an Angry Review till the end of September this is going to get much worse. Though even if he does, it better be a fucking masterpiece, because he is in disgrace of his subscribers now.

It's not going to continue at that pace. It's going to get worse. People are going to start actively not watching his videos, unsubscribing en masse, and generally writing him off as a lost cause.

I think it's only a matter of time until the next major controversy hits and he lashes out at his audience again.

I'm sure that Spoony thought he was also bulletproof after he started slacking on videos and lashing out at his audience. At his peak, his Patreon was raking in over $5000 a month. Sure, the die hard fans hung in there for a while, in hopes that Noah would get his shit together and start producing content again, but all he did was those shit wrestling vids most fans hated. Now he's barely clearing $600 a month.

Bothered Baldemar is on that same trajectory right now - slacking off, breaking promises, making shit videos that the majority of fans hate, pissing on the fans for not lapping it up, etc. Even the true blue fans will hold on for so long before they too decided to take their views and donations elsewhere.

if he doesnt deliver by september some sort of angry gaming video then I think he will see a mass of unsubscribers, that fat fuck delrith garbage and sponsored mobile game shite wont cut it, and GOT finishes next week so other then his yawnful movie reviews hes gonna run out of shit to post...

His tv/movie reviews are the only videos that get consistent views which is shocking to me because he might be the worst big movie/tv reviewer i've ever seen. I can't even call it a "review" because it's not actually scripted or intelligent discussion, it's just 3 guys who just came back from the movies/room and start rambling for +50 mins, unedited with Joe forgeting a lot of things and interrupting the others who only exist to agree with him.

Like dude, if i wanted to watch an hour long review with no substance i would just watch the fucking movie/show. Joe's content is so low effort that i seriously can't understand why anyone would watch him over any other reviewer.

Delrith is the Cousin Oliver to this channel. And I'm saying this as a guy who isn't a huge fan of Joe to begin with.

The key here is to check the viewer retention rate. Strong chance that a lot of people turn it off after a few minutes, save the hardcore fans or people using it as background noise.

i didn't even know he was doing movie reviews until i read through this topic. i watched his most recent one and it's like he's trying to be RLM HitB/BofW but he's the only one talking and none of them have any charisma or knowledge about what they're talking about. i can only assume that his tru fans^tm just haven't discovered "quality" yt movie reviewers.

Delrith looks like the sort of person to have skeletons literally chained up in his closet. Wouldn't surprise me to see him arrested.

As for Joe's decline, given how Spoony's Patreon started in 2014 and only now dropped this year, I'd say Joe has maybe two or three years before his fans leave him. Less if he gets caught in more firestorms like the hiatus brought.

Didn't see here yet, Joe disabled comments on another recent video:

Why did he disable? Because it's more fake sponsored garbage that nobody cares. I checked his twitter and apparently he has no plans of even trying the new Uncharted game, which boggles my mind why a game reviewer wouldn't even mention a trending AAA game. At this point Joe will only play shit if people pay him for it.

(His last video is full of positive comments and no negative ones, this is probably true.)

It's not like that with Totalbiscuit, he continues to lose hundreds of subscribers a day. All Joe needs is one more fuck up.

i dont think he shadow bans, i think he just manually deletes comments, there was a comment on his latest video saying something like "joe enjoys pissing off his fan" and Joe replied with "by taking a break from 9 years of angry reviews" and after a bunch of reply to that reply that call out Joe on his thin skin, the comment with the replies are gone.

I can confirm that he deletes certain comments. He's gotten upset with me a few times when I correct his false statements in his videos.

That's what confuses me about this shit... what is the point of a Game of Thrones episode review in this format? Nobody who hasn't seen it is going to watch the review anyway because: spoilers. And even if they were spoiler-free, nobody is going to decide skip one episode if they've watched the series- conversely, no one is going to just jump in on this episode because it's supposed to be good. So it's of no use. And for anyone who has seen the show, why would they want to watch 3 people with no particular knowledge of the topic matter or useful insights sperg about the latest episode in a series that pretty much everyone talks about anyway?

The only thing I can think of is that Joe's model at this point is to just make videos for people who have no human contact or friends to talk to about comfortable, easy things that don't matter in the least.

Enraged Enchilada
Assblasted Alejandro
Upset Umberto

My sides. Can we get a compilation of all of these?

There were a bunch more but the mods burned the forest down in fear that they would spread

It is a way worse sign that it would intuitively be when channels start losing subscribers consistently even if the numbers are small, people are far less likely to unsubscribe than to just not watch the videos so when you are actively getting rid of more people than you back log is gaining well you are unlikely to ever get back to your previous height no matter how good your content.
Like joe is way less likely to get any good sponsorships now which is probably why his latest content is from shitty apps as opposed to being sent on a holiday by the witcher devs.
