I started reading bleach again. Man, those covers are something else.

wasn't utena's dyke love interest a manipulative incestuous whore?
I watched Utema until episode nine but gave up for some reason, despite liking art style so much. I should proably start again.

Funny you mention that, given that show's fans are also for decrying this, saying that Utena was specifically refuting this (makes me wonder if they truly watched it).
They might have watched the anime, but they tend to only focus on the movie because it ends with Utena and Anthy together because it might be a sequel all along instead of an AU, but that's ambiguous.

Seriously, Utena isn't the "qweer" utopia these people make it out to be. If anything, these "fans" tend to double down on "staying in their coffins" so they can keep believing it.

Still, you can't deny Utena original anime has many romantic moments too.

They're purposefully exaggerated in most places (because shoujo, although holy shit does Wakaba's "I just want to be special" episode hit a sore spot), though Utena's desire for a sisterhood with Anthy was real. It's more of a "romantic friendship" that's idolized by Japanese girls and is rarely actually reciprocated into lesbianism. Until the movie does its thing, the show was focused more on teen drama taken to theatric levels because they're students first-and-foremost who have of yet to experience the real world.

Also while everyone can agree Juri may be the only lesbian in the cast, she still had an actual connection with her fencing captain that suggested a potential romance in the future, although he said was trying to help her "heal" her toxic relationship with Shiori that would let the two start over from square one despite exploiting Shiori's feelings in the process. There's messed up implications there even though it left Juri more wise than when she first started.

Seriously, Utena actually gives teenage girls good relationship advice and warnings across the board, but it didn't take into account modern day gender politics warping and raping our language and social circles.

Apparently the newest chapter of Kaigeki no Kinato had the protagonist use his healing magic to turn a lesbian knight straight, alongside making her a princess.
Found this while doomscrolling xitter and laughed laughed and laughed
It's extra funny because it's literally not his powers "curing" her. She was obsessed with a book series about a knight who saved a princess, and Kinato said something that was verbatim part of the Knight's dialogue despite not knowing the book. That's what caused her to fall for him.

Yet the people saying his magic cured her are the same ones who go on about "media literacy."

I don't know how can you watch Utena and come to conclusion she's straight.

read The Book Of Five Rings
Been some time since I read it but the impression I had is that Mushashi really liked to stab motherfuckers and saw absolutely zero faults in using any method to improve his position no matter how morally dubious it would have seen back then and still today.

Lesbians in anime are always treated as a phase but pro faggots ignore it since it hurts their point. Plus it is usually used as a way to have the girl remain "pure" but still talk about romance.

Alao whenever I think of Utena I remember they actually had the heroine take the 1000 year old Jeet dick which is just disgusting.

Utena is definitely not straight. I haven't finished it yet, but you have to be blind to not see it.

And Anthy and her brother are not jeets. No. I'll not accept this.

Her actual sexual awakening was with a man lmao she didn't care until then.

As far as I know they're not Indians despite India being mentioned in a Nanami episode. It's left ambiguous and mostly serves as a visual cue they're fish out of water (on purpose).

Speaking of Indian anime characters, NieA_7 has one lmao. The dub has him sound exactly as you expect.

It actually kinda sticks out because the director I guess had an actual Indian friend or knew this guy in person whom he would showcase at the end of the credits just saying funny Indian things, and it looks like the character was based off of him.

Even had a restaurant at one point, seems to have since closed.

That is kind of a major point both IRL and in Baki.
Mushahi, the real one, considered a duel to have begun the second it was decided you two would fight. Anything and everything was on the table, every moment should be in preparation, any tactical advantage should be leveraged, because it was you or them and as a warrior it is your job to make sure it’s them who falls. Doesn’t matter how you go about it, winning is winning and when losing means death you better fucking win.
Honor, respect, bushido (a very misunderstood topic these days), those aren’t just things that can get you killed but those things can be used against your opponent to kill them.
Both Five Rings and Dokkodo are magnificent works, ones I have read many times, but they aren’t gospel and you have to understand the time they were written and the man who wrote them to really appreciate what they mean, and even then I don’t believe it’s possible to know the exact meaning Mushashi had in mind because it’s truly alien to everything we know in the modern West.

She has that Indian forehead dot thing and light brown colour skin. At best it's mystery Arab.
she's a jeet
pakistani jeet maybe but a jeet is a jeet
Safe and working from home while watching Gundam Victory
it's not like we would've missed you or anything, b-b-baka

Reminds me of Shigurui, another fucked up but less for the sake of fucked up manga.
