Anime/Manga - Discuss Japanese cartoons and comics here; NO CULTURE WAR DOOMPOSTING!

But I wanna at least give up to Part 4 a go, cause it's my friend's favourite.
From Part 4 onward it's pretty good. Though it will slow down towards the end before the big fight. Honestly you could have just started at Part 7 and been fine, it's the best one anyway and you don't need prior knowledge

I've seen many people lying to themselves by saying that Frieren is clean and has no fan service. Yes, there is fan service that is good and useful to the story, and at the same time there is bad, dirty fan service.

The fan service that I noticed the anime Frieren focuses on is scenes that aim to please people who are sexually attracted to feet, and this is one of the most disgusting and bad types of fan service.

All the scenes that appeared in the anime from the first season until the first episode of the second season in this style were intentionally directed with close camera angles that highlighted the feet.

Currently reading through Part 3 of JoJo and my god, it's boring me to tears. I really really liked Phantom Blood and Battle Tendency, but Stardust Crusaders is miserable to read. I'm just after reading the Anubis sword fight and it's all so. goddamn. slow. The only stand fight I've really liked so far has been the blind guy when they first meet Iggy and the Nightmare Grim Reaper one - But I'm really considering just dropping this part all together it's no fun to read. The art is good as always at least.

After this, I wanna give Claymore a try it sounds interesting and finishing 364 of Berserk a month back left a hole in my heart.
I can't fathom watching part 3 serialized again, it's taking the slowness and putting it into overdrive.

Also wish Claymore got remade with the final part added in, they did it to Spice and Wolf (which I should probably see despite the worse animation).

People definitely Noticed that with season 1, specifically Serie's scenes. Like the one where the camera focuses on just her foot for an oddly prolonged moment, then she wiggles her toes, and one of the mages in the room actually looks down at it, drawing more attention to it. Weird and definitely deserving of a Zoltraak'ing.

The animators want to suck her toes. I remember Frieren feet being an odd forced meme too, Also remember the Frieren foot burger? Yucky. Just because you're a podophiliac doesn't mean you need to draw fucking attention to yourself like a fag though.

These people do not represent the Foot Fetish Association of America (FFAA). A fetish should stay a little dirty secret. It should not be publicized. Thank you for your attention to this matter. We will add shoes to all obvious fetish enabling scenes.

Sorry man, my shonen of choice for now is Mao. Maybe I'm being a nostalgic oldfag, but I'm really liking the old-fashioned character designs.

There's nothing there to judge, like two scenes lol. Turns out the studio creating it was formed - just this year... worrying. Studios created for one big project will typically have their fate determined by that one project. Either the hype escalates them into a Mappa, to which they expand and eventually sell out to (((westerners))) because they were never really in the black, or they crumble into nothing because their make or break project bombed and they couldn't catch up with their loans. Something tells me the action will be like jewjewtsu season 2 and most other action shows now. Barren backgrounds, everything cgi, chaotic hard to follow scribbly character movement to make up for the fact that the visuals aren't anything close to a well directed and framed cowboy bebop fight scene...
The art of keeping the audience aware of where the action is and how the characters are moved about is a dying one.

Cypic was formed by Cygames back in 2016.

In 2015, Cygames announced the creation of its own anime production division to produce anime for their gaming IP but also anime originals.[3] A year later in 2016, Cygames announced the creation of its own anime studio called CygamesPictures to create and animate their own anime, at the same time that its anime production division now is part of the studio itself.[1]

In 2026, CygamesPictures was consolidated as a subsidiary under Cygames' parent company CyberAgent through direct share acquisition completed on February 27. The company was renamed to Cypic on April 6, the day after the 10th anniversary of the studio's founding.[4] Following its renaming, the studio also launched its own music label called Cypic Records.
They did the Uma Musume movies as well as Uma Musume Cinderella Gray

They also did the Summer Hikaru Died

As far as I can tell they've had pretty consistently good looking animation. Keep in mind I haven't seen all the anime they've done, I mainly listed the two I know about.

Here's some of tetsuya's animation chops

While keigo sasaki is just a humble character designer for seven deadly sins, blue exorcist, and erased

Yesterday i found "Eden of Witches" so far i like it even thought it seems that it is kinda going too fast.
Basically the world is kinda like "The Dark Sun" (D&D) where world is dying and plant life is becoming rarer and rarer and only people that can find and cultive that are witches and as expected they are being killed and hunted for well hoarding all that shit (its not as dark as Dark Sun but that is the 1st thing that came to my mind when i was reading it) and it follow the story of a girl and her familiar trying to get to Eden.

"In a world devastated by humankind and forsaken by plants and animals, only witches have the power to communicate with nature.

A long time ago, plants and animals lived in harmony . . . until humankind came to power and, unable to coexist with nature, destroyed and exploited both flora and fauna without a second thought. Now the world has become a barren wasteland. But witches have the power to speak to nature. Blamed for the extinction of plant life, and feared by humanity for their powers, they hide away from the rest of humanity in secret lairs bursting with greenery.

Pili, a young witch-apprentice, has set out on the roads accompanied by the wolf Oak. However, she is not accustomed to the world outside and traveling long distances. Her fatigue quickly takes its toll, and she ends up injuring herself by tumbling down a rocky slope! Fortunately, a boy named Bowei finds Pili and takes her home to nurse her back to health.

However, the arrival of the unfamiliar young lady arouses suspicion among other villagers, who quickly discern her true nature as a witch. And all captured witches share the fate of execution!

Eden of Witches is a magical and lushly illustrated coming-of-age story perfect for fans of Princess Mononoke, Nausicaä, and Witch Hat Atelier, brought expertly to life by rising star manga artist Yumeji. It will sweep readers away into a fairy tale where witches and their familiars are the last keepers of the natural world."
