Burr was in 2 episodes of Mandalorian I doubt Disney cares what he says if he did say wrong think they'd just wouldn't have his character back on which wouldn't be a big thing.

I think Bill being married to a black woman and having 2 kids who are probably more likely to called black than white has more to do with his dislike for Anthony given how more overtly racist Anthony now is.

With things like Sex for Sam, the Show they can't talk about, and all their other close calls then add Anthony's racist tendencies I can't imagine any comedian who has any contracts with major companies coming near them during the MeToo Era or O&A surviving it if they'd had been on the air.

Yeah. I used to listen to his podcast for the first several years (until 2015-2016 or so) and he called himself a progressive often. He’s a Generation X liberal, which means he sides with the left 98% of the time but will occasionally call someone a faggot or listen to viewpoints occasionally different than his own. Him cracking open a Bud Light a few weeks ago in solidarity with trannies is where he currently stands. He cares about not wrecking his $100 million Spotify deal.

Burr is also a sellout faggot but that’s what it takes if you want to be employed while white. That’s why O&A would not make it. The very best you could do is to be totally denutted like Bill Burr, Howard Stern, and Joe Rogan. Even Opie couldn’t make it in our woke hellscape.
 
The thing about selling out, is that you get money in exchange for your integrity. Cumia somehow ended up with neither the integrity of an outsider, nor the money and brownnosing that comes from bending over for the mainstream.

You could make the same argument for Amy Schumer, Brandon Schaub, or that indian guy that replies to criticism by flexing on how much money he spends on useless luxury items. Nobody thinks the "I got mine" attitude is entertaining, especially when they're entertainers. Nobody is jealous of either one of them outside of their bank accounts.
 
I like that we're talking about Bill Burr as if he's completely ruined his life because he doesn't want to be associated with someone as radioactive and physically repulsive as Anthony Cumia. The guy is enjoying a degree of fame and success that, among O&A alums, only Amy Schumer could beat, and I doubt very much that he is losing a lot of sleep because he can't sit down next to Ant and make fun of niggers.

I don't know what everyone else has been saying, but I'm going to say this; Bill Burr completely ruined his life by marring an obnoxious negress, not because he won't be associated with Anthony Cumia.

No, not at all. This is a stupid argument because Bill, as far as I know, isn't a joke thief or filled with CTE. Sure, you might not LIKE him, but he will be remembered well, unlike Dan, Amy and Brendon Swab.

You're the one making the argument. I don't dislike Burr. Neither one of us said he wouldn't be remembered, you were making the point that he made his money and nothing else matters. The exact same can be said for the people I listed.

The reason why touring comedians do local morning zoo shows is to try to drive local ticket sales. Satellite radio doesn't help with that as chances are the people who are listening are not in the market area.

WATP has talked about this happening on brain dead podcasts. Hosts or guests will tell the audience that some performance is happening in a few days, sometimes even before the episode is posted, and they seem to think that their fans will actually turn out for it.

It works if it’s a major podcast that gets millions of listens per episode but when every comedian and their dog has their own podcast and gets maybe a few hundred listens per episode, then they won’t. That’s another reason why Compound Media was never going to make it. Joe Rogan is one of the biggest podcasters out there but none of his hangers on have ever successfully launched a career thanks to being on Rogan’s podcast, even after more than a decade of free promotion and tagging along with him when he does shows. So it’s not surprising that Compound’s gaggle of faggots and whores (in Chrissie Mayr’s case) have never been able to benefit by being there, which is why only the most remotely ambitious ones leave after a short while. It’s not unique to Compound, it’s just the idea of podcast networks are irrelevant in 2023.

If you are defining successful as being top 10 in the world, then no, but with a reasonable definition of successful, they got the boost off of JRE.

Reminder Cumia had Gavin (with Milo) and Legion of Skanks when they were still building their audiences. The Proud Boys thing started on Compound Media. Soon Chrissy Mayr will join the ranks of people who outgrow Compound (yet still aren't successful).
