Anthony and Jimmy have a relationship at this point that, well I was going to describe it as 'parasitic', but it's more like mutualistic. No one cares what the other has to say except in the form of gossip about Opie.
To be fair, I don't think either of them are holding back. It's not like that insane asshole Danny Ross whose MO is to drip-feed gossip in the hopes of...I don't know. He's a resident of an insane asylum so who knows what he wants or thinks. Let's throw Danny over our shoulders and never consider him again.
But it's clear that no one cares about Jim Norton outside the context of Opie. And no one cares about Anthony Cumia outside the context of Opie. Thus we see (and I made fun of this earlier) Jim continuously re-creating a podcast, and every time, his first guest is Anthony. This has happened at least a half a dozen times.
If I were either of them? Separate. The verb. Sep-are-ate. I don't mean separate in a personal way. I mean, Jim, never have Anthony on your various podcasts ever again. People are exhausted at this point. Do your own thing. And for fuck's sake, start one project and stick to it.
If I see another banner on Youtube with Jim's exaggerated open-mouth laugh next to Anthony's exaggerated open-mouth laugh, labeled 'Jim Norton's attempt at a podcast #27', I'll punch a hole in the drywall.
As for Anthony? Stop putting Jim on, for the above reasons. And if you have nothing interesting to talk about aside from O&A gossip, then retire. Retire and kill yourself.
