Those are his true passions, the Compound stuff is just a way to pass the time.Cumia threw it all away so he could yell about black people and date 15 year olds. He's a fucking dipshit.

Probably one of her fellow dumb broads from the Simpcast.I wonder who he'll sign to Compound to replace Chrissie Mayr. He could probably get one of her porn star guests, but they tend to be unreliable.
As for Opie, he was the needed straight man on the show that Ant could use as a foil. He was never funny, but the show would have been weird without him.
If he was such a detriment to the show then why was the show successful for 20 years? No one is saying he was some gift to shock jock radio. The dude was as vanilla as they come, but that worked with someone like Anthony on the other side of him. Once Jim came in, and the additions of Erock and Sam (to a lesser degree), it was a well rounded cast of misfits.I hate when people come out with this. Opie was not even a good fucking straight man. I've been listening through the Louis CK appearances on the show, and Opie can't even hold a fucking conversation without stepping all over everyone. He has no ability to entertain in any way. He's even worse in celebrity interviews.
He's the luckiest dullard to ever live.
Opie was a shit stirring instigator and an overbearing asshole and troublemaker. That's what made him popular. Other than that he really didn't have the charisma to carry a show.If he was such a detriment to the show then why was the show successful for 20 years? No one is saying that Opie could carry a show though. Just that he was an integral part of the O&A show by knowing all of the pieces he had at his disposal and using them correctly. This was always super apparent whenever Opie wasn't around (god forbid for multiple days) and Jim/Ant would just drive the show into the ground, directionlessly.Opie was a shit stirring instigator and an overbearing asshole and troublemaker. This is true.Nopie shows are some of the best stuff they ever did.
A lot of people argue that Compound Media isn't a success but it's probably doing better than most would give it credit for. They were paying Artie $900k/year for the AA show.People constantly post things to that effect when they're being critical of Ant or Jim though. I was responding to a comment just like that.

Over the past month I have listened to roughly 20 hours of old shows and the Opie has had exactly one good contribution, and he quickly followed it with "see, I'm funny too sometimes"
There are entire shows where his sole contribution is going to the phone.
All 3 of them are messes in their personal lives, but there's a reason greggshells is the only one who has no fanbase left. He's a terrible entertainer.
I don't know how you even type this when the guy was talking to 20 viewers on a good day when he tried to do his own thing.
He was surrounded by talented people. That's how the show worked. That's how they were all successful without him.
How much of that was Opie and how much of that was their legion of interns? Credit where it's due, Opie was good with fundamental showrunning, but those are the things you're expected to be good at with such a large stage. Even then, he'd make rookie mistakes like going to the phones in the middle of a bit. He'd hear Patrice O'Neal riffing with Rich Vos and Bobby Kelly and think "you know what this needs right about? SNOWY FROM ARKANSAS! SNOWY, YOU'RE ON THE AIR? YEAH? YEAH? ALRIGHT, THANKS SNOWY!" Really??he was far and away the best of the crew at making the show an actual show
By his own admission, the only people that ever did prep for the show was Sam and Sal. Since Opie didn't contribute by being spontaneously funny, not doing show prep seems like a bad idea. Maybe he just assumed that because the talented people in the room didn't need to prep, he didn't either. How much of that was Opie and how much of that was their legion of interns? Every train needs a conductor, but Opie was clearly the conductor who needed the train far more than it needed him.
If you're looking to bust Ant on something, im almost positive he's transported minors across state lines to fuck them in a state with lower age of consent laws. He unironically memorized the age of consent laws of every state in New England.Honestly there isn't much that can be done to Anthony all the clowns still paying for Compound Media know all about his racist behavior and depravity he puts it on full display these days. Only if Vice finds some girl who was a minor when Nana fucked her and can prove it will he be fucked in any real way.
The one in danger from this and probably doesn't realize it is Jimmy since he's the one with a contract with Sirius-XM and could lose it if some of his past behavior and comments on the show are brought up in the current climate.
