I'm a fairly open Opie enjoyer but I do think that Opie is much more spiteful/vengeful then Anthony could ever hope to achieve, so it likely isn't that.

Anthony is a loudmouth immature borderline-retard though who would always talk and act without thinking, which is probably what caused the divide.

Anthony did the Heathers routine on fan forums (and Reddit) against Opie for years. Opie has his problems but he didn't go to the lengths that Anthony did.

I get that - but I sincerely believe that Opie (rightfully) considers Anthony to be beneath him and emotionally distanced himself from that friendship like 15 years ago.

If Opie got a call to be a SXM executive on Tuesday, on Wednesday he'd have Stern in his office going "things are going to change around here" and shut down his private elevator out of pure spite.

I think that Opie's anger towards Stern is justified. Even Anthony and Jimmy still agree that Stern fucked them and have never changed their opinions or stories regarding Stern. When Stern comes up, I've never heard Ant or Jim say anything different than Opie. Stern was the one doing backroom bullshit to fuck over the O&A show professionally for years, not the other way around.
