I keep seeing people use this talking point and honestly its pretty low IQ. What is fascism in that sense? When you use violence? If so, police are fascist and the Founding Fathers were fascist as was anyone who ever used violence. Fascism is an actual ideology, not just "when you brain a person you don't like". Conservatives keep telling antifas dont know what fascism is and then define it simply as "uhh...when theres violence".

Sorry, this has been bothering me for a time. You know I'm not defending antifa here, but words have meanings.

First of all, using violence does not make anyone fascist. It's just using violence. Secondly, the fascist mentality in regard to Antifa comes from censoring the opposing side and attacking them for simply disagreeing with them.

Every side of the political spectrum had a militia in Weimar Germany that attacked the people they disagreed with. As you know Antifaschistische Aktion was the paramilitary of the communist party. Fascists literally beat the original Antifa. Just call them the dirty commies they are instead instead of trying some gay "gotcha".

Wow, the more I learn about the late days of Weimar Germany, the more similarities I see with modern day America.

I think Spain is more apt comparison, for all its faults Weimar Germany was still a patriotic government that tried to reign in the rioting communists (see: Blood May). Meanwhile in Spain the government let the leftist kill their opponents and riot as they pleased, and the whole Republican government was left wing and beholden to USSR. What eventually drove Franco and patriotic Spaniards to rise up against the government was when the spanish secret service arrested a right-wing politician and then murdered him and dumped his body. The government had lost all its legitimacy, if the government cant protect the people then what the hell is its function? You see out of control antifas in US and "woke" FBI, but its still some way to FBI straight smoking magapedes...I think.

The reason that most people refer to antifa as fascists isn't just the violent suppression of all other viewpoints, it's because the overwhelming majority of them are communists, and in my mind there's only 2 particular differences between communism and fascism -

  • Fascism directly states that ranking party members directly possessing critical industries is acceptable. Communism purports to be "collective ownership of the means of production, without hierarchy", but (without getting into all the details of why) we all know that doesn't happen, and isn't possible.
  • Fascism is highly nationalistic, while utopian communism is globalist. Barring Leninist/Stalinst/Maoist/NKDR nationalist bents, which some modern commies handwave as "muh Juche", the original Marxist proposal is for "a global revolution by the working class."

Fascism is simply "the dictatorship of the proletariat", without any LARPing about establishing the utopian bullshit that modern day commies dream about, with no set work hours, lack of money, everyone getting everything they want when they want it without delay, etc. Both systems require centralized market and labor control, centralized operation of all media and information, and violent enforcement of systemic adherence.

If you cut out the internationalist utopia from Twitter-approved True Communism™, what are you left with that's distinct from any other populist movement to begin with? True Communism™ supposedly doesn't require central control because everyone will be guided by the invisible hand of the free market linear algebra Communist morality to do the correct thing; everyone will be perfectly free as long as they don't make any wrong choices. Modern leftist theory would argue that the "Communist morality" there is just a codification of pre-existing societal biases, but they'll still claim it's an improvement over the whims of the dictator of the week. What the objectively correct moral standard should be is left as an exercise to the reader. Religious conservatives essentially agree with this (if presented a bit differently) as "freedom from sin" and mostly dispute the content of what's a sin.

That's what I was referring to as "utopian communism", where everyone just freely wanders, and somehow all the necessities and needs and wants are just shit out by flying unicorns that circle overhead. Somehow, houses get built, farms are operated, good are delivered, infrastructure is maintained, by whichever person wanders along, without hierarchy, across the world, because humans are perfect.

The reality is that modern commies are universally lazy lumpenproles that want to yank their crank to trooned-out kids and medically infantilized adults, while having their nuggies and boba tea delivered directly to their noise holes, without effort.
