I've dabbled in bass a little. It's the only instrument that I can wrap my head around. I haven't played much, but I plan on changing that this year. I want to buy myself a Rickenbacker 4003 and start playing again. Probably take proper lessons since everything I know is old Ramones songs that I looked the tabs up for on the interbutts and played along to. I'll mostly play old school punk, but eventually I'd like to branch out into other forms of rock.

Here's the bass I plan on getting this year.

I played violin for 10 years then personal issues derailed, it sucks. I want to get back into playing but now when I look at sheet music I might as well be trying to understand a foreign language.

Anyone have some good resources for stepping my toe back in? Google was kind of overwhelming and now that I'm in a better place (and far from any neighbors) I wanna play a LOT more.

Thanks kiwis <3

EDIT: Welp I did some basic googling and reading, and hilariously it was like something "clicked" and now its nbd. Now I just need the funds to repair my poor neglected 1200$ baby :/

I was a band loser at school. I started the piano when I was around 5, then the cello when I was 8. Trumpet at 9, guitar at 13. I've dabbled in other instruments like the accordion but the cello's probably my best one, ability wise. I'm told my playing style's pretty wild so I do better unaccompanied than ensemble, though i've played in orchestras before.

When I'm having one of those days where I'm convinced i'm shit at everything and life is useless playing an instrument really does help.

I actually took up the cello because when I started year 4 (3rd grade US) everyone had to learn a stringed instrument. almost all dropped it after a year, but if they hadn't had that system in place I'd never had started learning and perhaps wouldn't be where I am today.

I decided to buy lsdj the other day in order to fully test whether creating music is for me or not, wish me luck.

I play the piano, guitar, theremin, and literally every single gamelan instrument (:powerlevel:I played at the Smithsonian a few years ago:powerlevel:) but I'm only really good at the piano and making weird academic laptop music. My college also has one of the few remaining ARP 2500s left, and I also know how to use that... kinda.

I love majoring in computer music and having no future.

Besides playing the mop bucket, I play Viola, piano, and I teach

Now you can listen to me for the facts!

The reason that the people of the Sultanate of Oman are darker skinned than other places that the filthy Arab and cracker have bastardized is that no foreign power ever controlled all of Oman. Most of Oman has always ruled by tribes and was never under the total control of European colonization. The filthy Arab and cracker did lighten the complexion of these black people, but not to the extent of lets say North Africa. And this is the reason that the people of Oman look more like Ethiopians which is another country that the filthy Arab and cracker bastardized!

MIKE111 IS A SCUMBAG AND A FILTHY CRACKER BUT LIKE I SAY IN THE THREAD ITS INFORMATION CAN BE USED AGAINST IT!

I am dripping a link to this scumbags site where you can look at the pictures of the Sultans of Oman! In this case ONLY the pics are relevant because as usual his words are helf truths and outright lies! Anyone that is interested in the history of Oman contact me! But do look at the ;pics of these MIXED black men courtesy of the scumbag Mike111

What the fuck are you smoking?

Acoustic guitar, a little bit of song too, but honestly i need more practice with my voice (haven't practiced in years and used to smoke, so yeah, my throat's a little damaged).

Bass, guitar, keyboards and production, all equally badly yet adequate for my own purposes. One man band with programmed drums, though I have a friend do most of the singing. I work out of a shitty home studio. Nothing released yet but lots written. Very punk oriented with lots of electronic elements.

So no demos then? I'm interested to listen to what you do have.

ironically, I am.
I play guitar.
Keith Urban Ltd. Edition Vintage Electric, 65/2000.

Has a nice Beatle-esque tone after diddling around with the knobs and shit.

No demos out yet atm, no. I do have quite a few full recordings of songs but it's a fairly serious endeavor with videos and pictures and everything and I don't think I want to put it up on here. Especially at the same time as the taint megathread, know what I mean? I might clyp.it some noodling here and there but I don't wanna out myself.

I do some chillout/ambient/experimental electronic stuff. Been at it for years but I've been releasing stuff under my current alias for about 2 and a half years. I love my analogue synths a lot! The past year has been really good to me, though. My next 2 albums are being released through a label I love, the new stuff seems more polished than ever, I have a mastering friend and an art friend to help me with my next project. I even got to do a festival this summer, which is huge given that there isn't really an alt-electronic scene where I live.

Also I love doing vocals. Haven't really been with a band in a few years, though.
