Does anyone know a national place that does deep club refurbs? Mine aren't destroyed or damaged. Just scuffed. I'd like them polished up and restored, I know it won't make me play better but hey. I took it to a local guy today but he said he couldn't do much. Any thoughts would be appreciated and happy golfing.
You can either do it yourself or otherwise just look online near you. I don't think there is a national place but maybe something like the PGA super store might be able to do it.

Went on a little trip with my buddies this weekend and played some nice courses. Found out my ideal distance is between 6600 and 7000 yards with a slope below 74. Was able to break 90 pretty comfortably at a course that was just under 6700 yards and just under 73 slope rating but the courses that were over 7000 and 74+ slope rating got me good. Was able to break 100 but not ideal. Probably going to look for a few golf instructors that can help me hit my driver, fairway woods, and long irons further

Forgot I signed up for a lesson with this golf instructor like 2 months ago and since I already paid, I decided to give him a shot. He changed a few things in my swing and holy shit is it fun. He didn't change much but he said I was using way to much body and not much with my arms. So not I have to work on it and my distances are slowly changing. Played a shorter course for 9 holes and managed to hit a drive somewhere between 280 and 300 (total, not carry but it went through rough not the fairway). Golf became super fun again

Been playing for a while now. I still prefer playing by myself than with others. Walking a round while listening to music in the afternoon is very therapeutic.
Its only fun to golf with others when they are your friends. Otherwise walking by yourself is better. The only issue being a single is they may pair you off with someone else and that someone might be crazy as fuck

Played solo today on that same Par 3 next to my house. An hour of sweating my balls off in the summer sun. It was glorious. Starter with a par and held steady the rest of the way.

I am at the point right now where Par 3's are my downfall. A par 5 and most par 4s are usually pars for my, maybe a birdie chance on a few but the par 3's I will normally just scramble for a bogey. Its awful

Finally got a decent group together to play and outside of my normal play partner I continue to amaze them that I can quad boogie on one hole cause of bad chipping and then birdie the next after escaping a bunker.

Started doing walking courses more too and while I feel like shit there's something nice about taking it slower and having a fresh mindset for each shot cart play definitely doesn't let you have enough time to "forget" your shot or last hole.

Just a friendly reminder to play a nice course every now and again. Treat yourself to something that looks like thought and effort went into it
Public courses really fuck with your sense of putting. The country clubs are usually spec up to the USGA standard of greens. Plus again they usually look really great.

Did an hour of range time today and then played 9 solo at my par three. I'll take a 31 since I had five pars to start. I either got tired or got tired of waiting on the two groups ahead of me and bogeyed out. Solid contact the whole time, just a couple three puts/flubbed chips. Feeling better about my game every day.

It's a mindfuck when you can play a hole twice and still wait to tee off.

Idk why but slow players always get under my skin. Bro its just golf at a public course with friends, its not that serious. You aren't good enough to need to think out this 140 yard shot, just pull out your club and hit it

And if you're some newbie, there were two in the foursome, who is going to be duffing or skulling it every other shot just play best ball. I was so pissed watching this forty year old woman allowed to hit it ten yards five times on a hole. Pick it up bitch.

I play with some newbies who duff their shot a lot and there are ways you can get them to play faster. For one, don't keep their score so they don't get frustrated. Two, don't take practice swings before hitting it. You aren't going to suddenly become better by taking a couple of practice swings before duffing this shot, just hit it and keep going forward. Don't pull the pin out when putting and don't go ball in cup. You got your putt within 5 feet? Good work, put the putter away, pull out the driver and tee, and go to the next tee box and hit. Or just wait and let the next group pass you. I don't get mad at people who suck but play fast. But people who are average or suck and intentionally play slow just piss me off to no end

Call me a weirdo but Putting should be the one thing thats finished out especially for newbies. I've slowly got a friend into golf and his pace of play was the worst I've ever seen. I'm talking 2 minutes of just practice swings. for every shot. I got him down to about a minute by lighting a fire under his ass to move.

If you are really being pushed, then don't have them finish out. Unless they aren't taking practice swings, they don't need to work on their putting at the course. But practice swings every swing and getting on the green in 6 strokes on a par 4 means you are getting a gimme if you get close

The Key is that unless I am in a hurry, I usually allow myself 2 practice swings, 3 at the most. For putting I take 3-4 at the most since I am trying to work on that portion of the game. If I am slowing pace I usually will just wrap up as fast as I can.

2 swings is acceptable if you are a weekend golfer. Your first two putts you can take your time to line it up. On your third putt, you better hurry up. The fourth putt you better just hit it and pick up
