Your friend has shit taste, Turn A is one of the best Gundam series. To keep this Gunpla-related, the Turn A MG comes with a cow figure, so it's automatically a great kit. (It makes sense that it does if you have context from the show; one of the episodes has the main character using the Gundam to transport a cow.)

Apparently he hated it because it was designed by a westerner or something. He also recommended watching 08th MS Team though because of how realistically it depicts Gundams being used in war. He was right about that one because 08th MS team rocks.

Shiro would have died in that Ball if we're being accurate. He had crazy plot armor.

I'm moreso talking about the Gundams getting fucked up by sand and the elements etc. That's realistic. They actually have to delay ops to do maintenance, and it takes a long time and seems like a bitch to do at all, also realistic.

They did well with the realistic weight and destruction, yes.

Oh wow there's a gunpla thread hell yeah!

Gunpla for me started when i finished watching my first Gundam serie 00. Its my favorite and thus it led me to buy the high grades for the celestial being 1st season versions. They were both my first gunplas and my testing grounds and despite all the time that have passed they are still in my desk even if time hasnt been good to them(i try to keep them as clean as possible) There's something about gunpla that just makes me zen, like im in my own bubble and nothing else exists except me and the plastic. Although my time has gotten tighter so i cant gunpla as much or for as long as i would want, i still try to occasionally buy or finish my backlog which is currently 5 kits. Although one thing is for sure, Gunpla is Freedom.

Don't know if anybody here is interested but the PG Unleashed Grandpa is currently on Amazon for 50% off making a normally $270 kit much cheaper if you're into that.

Editing to add that even though it's the top entry on Amazon search, it's a newly listed vendor so could be iffy to buy from.

No! Do not tell me these things please. My backlog is 15 kits deep including a Ver Ka FA I need to finish. Also fuck me I just checked and PG Exia is back in stock.

Finally in the stage of moving where I can start unpacking some kits, got Wing Zero and Luminous Unicorn up on the windowsill. They are miles high so nobody can critique the shoddy builds, my better stuff I am going to put at eye level once I can find where I packed them.

If it makes you feel any better, I dug a little deeper and it's a newly-listed Chinese vendor so might be too good to be true. I was debating pulling the trigger on it for that price.

If you like 00 do yourself a favor and buy the MG kits, some of the best engineering done in recent years. The Virtue and Dynames are standouts, and while people complain about the Exia the MG 2.0 is still a decent kit.

I do still have the Exia Ignition MG on my bucket list if only because the Repair configuration looks really good in 1/100.

updating with my current build, I butchered the shoulder pretty bad with the decal, but not too visible from afar. I am loving the color scheme of this build

I think it looks great. Just remember, other people rarely if ever see the tiny mistakes that you notice when you're elbows-deep in the build.

Did you pick this up from a reseller or did you grab it from P-Bandai? I've been waiting to find this kit for a decent price both because fuck yeah Dozle and fuck yeah the MG Zaku is such a fine kit.

Grabbed it from my local shop! The only benefits of being a leaf on the west coast is cheaper prices then America I've found.

Thankfully I was able to drive and pickup as well. Bonus for this set was being entered into a raffle. Then I won this lot which should fill out my backlog for a year or two at my pace.

PS: I'll try posting some completed works, just out of town currently. Love me some zaku supremacy

I thoroughly approve of your kit choices so have a pic of a pair of relevant suits of mine. I just finished snapping together Hyaku Shiki last night and need to finish a bit of cleanup and decals while my Char's Zaku was my first attempt at testing a matte coat and was very happy with the result.

I really like the MG Zaku 2.0 but screw building another due to the pipes.
I didn't find the pipes too much of an issue, mind you I got a Razer V2 with my first order. Very handy plastic sander.

I just cut them free and sanded the pinch points while it was still on the "running rod", then ran them individually. Size S glove gang.
