How significant was the stitcher nerf? Can you still down most players in one clip? Took a break from Arc after running out of things to do but the new map conditions look interesting
I rampaged on 6 guys in a duo just a few minutes ago using that and a renagade when they weren't 20 feet away.

its all positioning and flanking that really matter, if your head to head trigger pulling with you and another guy, your fucked anyways in duo's, the 2nd man will tag you and you die.

I bought this a couple days ago and I’m staying the carebear lobbies for now. It’s gotten easier as I learn when to engage and when to try and sneak around, but these arcs are still taking my ass whenever they want it and I can’t imagine having to worry about raiders too.

So far I’ve only encountered one hostile raider and luckily it was pretty quickly after joining a match so I didn't lose anything of consequence, but I’ve run into way more helpful players than not. I saw one guy eat like three exploding ball arcs to the face on Stella Montis so I chased him down and bandaged him and he dropped an Aphelion blueprint for me, so that was nice. :)

the weakpoints are the only way to kill a few of these. i remember being a sucker and buying the grenade launcher and if you don't hit a weakspot even the hornet can tank 6 hits.

once you get gud at taking out the small guys you are sort of fucked when it comes to stuff like trying to solo a rocketter.

one of the good parts of the game is how little it really costs to reaquire your loadout even if you get shot or fuck up somehow. when you fully upgrade the rooster you get like 10k in loot each time you play a round.

He's DEAD, He's TOASTERLESS!
On the off chance Null sees this, this is where I procure my toasters:

That took a minute to get used to. I don’t think I survived a run until at least 10 tries because I kept assuming I could take out these little drones and with the Rattler. Much better experience with the Ferro, though I wish there was at least a bolt-action heavy ammo rifle upgrade for the breach load.

My first runs were stressful because I didn’t realize how easy it would be to replace gear once you’ve got a stockpile of mats to burn. It really does become trivial to replace whatever you might’ve lost pretty quickly(at least until you unlock special weapons.)

the Hurricane conditions combined with the new ARC is finally a decent level of challenge for the extreme increase in loot quality.

Key Card rooms in Hurricanes payout better than any other map condition, in ONE locker I got a Snaphook and a Kinetic Converter from the Dam Staff Room, the room also had a bobcat 3 and a Volcano 3.

However, you will get fucked by other players if they want to and you aren't paying attention, and Comets and Fireflies can absolutely bury you.

smoke grenades absolutely do not work for the rocketeers. they fire into the clouds. if you get spotted by one you are simply dead.

I'm about to drop the game over the AI tbh. I just want to walk to places without immediately dying to unkillable enemies that can shoot 100%+80% rockets every 5 seconds and you can't evade them. like I can't traverse maps to get where i need to be, I can't eat the resource loss from recovery because you literally cannot recover fast enough to get away from them. It's just: it sees you, you die, unless you're in very specific conditions.

i had finally stopped using free inventories for bigger more efficient loot spaces and then after the last update it feels like the AI are way bigger dickheads even on dam. I either have to be locked in paying attention even if I'm just moving from the edge of the map to someplace else or I'm just donating gear to the map.

Rocketeers only see a very small cone in front of them, like stealth game enemies, they don't hear shots. They also spawn in the same place on maps, so they are easily avoided if you're careful. Pretty much every other arc is manageable.

That's not the case. I ran out of the forest on the South side of Dam and as I rounded a tree it was just there on the road and saw me by at least a 90deg angle. Then I'm in the woods with no cover. Threw a smoke grenade, as instructed, which I carried specifically for this case. It just fired a rocket into the cloud. Then I ran, and even though I'm in the jungle with trees, the lock-on time is incredibly short and so is the reload time. So it's hitting trees sometimes but the blast radius + stamina issues ensures you will die.

It's just extremely frustrating and it completely kills my interest in the game. I have to run, and re-run, and re-run, the same fucking bullshit buildings to find parts but if I run towards those buildings there's a chance I get locked on by aggressive flying instadeath. It's not a player and I don't want to interact with it.

I don't know what the fuck people are talking about with the hurricane map, it's just this but with the death-balls. you either bring weapons into the game to kill them or you're fucked. and i don't want to bring weapons into the game because there's a 25% chance I meet flying instadeath again.

Like in my last 10 games I've died twice to rocketeers and I'm actually losing money bringing augments into maps now. I don't care enough about what I'm doing to pay super close attention to make sure I don't bump into one so my options are just to stop playing. Before the last patch it was totally fine and you had to deliberately provoke these things, basically.

Yeah you were given bad information by a tard. Smokes do not work on arc. Photo cloaks do, with other arc like bastions and wasps getting attracted to sound like nearby shots. I think rocketeers are too high up to hear shots.

That rocketeer is pretty much always there next to testing annex. You really do just need to avoid it. I understand the frustration as my friends and I have been fucked over by them many times, but that's just how it is. It's the deadliest arc, and I would say a decent challenge.

The retarded part is that the best way to kill them used to be finding a wolfpack blueprint, then crafting it with explosive compound and motion cores. It deals enough damage to take the rocketeer low, and a second one kills it. However the patch made the crafting recipe take...... rocketeer drivers.

This is stupid because the devs constantly talk about the data. The data is why they don't buff the Bettina, even though it's shit. They find that it performs the best of all pve weapons (never mind the ammo economy and other issues). So when they added aggression based matchmaking, they arbitrarily split the playerbase between normal people who will shoot players depending on the circumstances, and friendly chunguses who literally never do. So in the pve lobbies, the only thing they killed was arc. And when everyone is teaming up to kill arc, of course arc are not really a big threat.

So they buffed arc by nerfing various grenades. Wolfpack takes rocketeer drivers, and trailblazer takes firefly ones. Despite.... the fact that they literally just nerfed trailblazers a week ago, which used to be the best method for killing leapers and bastions/bombardiers.

The devs are Swedish. They are retarded. I enjoy most of the game, but ABMM has been a fucking disaster because it's a bedrock mechanic from which all these problems and more, stem.

edit: They could have increased the rocketeer aggro range in the latest patch or something. I haven't played much since I have an endgame account and I'm about to wipe.

The issue is now that all my requirements are epic arc parts and I can't get epic arc parts without taking big boy guns into the game and I'm not doing that because I don't enjoy donating my nice stuff to rocketeers. So I'm just kind of like, do I spawn in to collect more rubber and chemicals or what?

can't stress enough that this issue has totally sucked the sense of progression and enjoyment. It was fine two days ago.

one of them is sentinel firing cores btw and they spawn in like 2 places and they're almost never there by the time i get there.

Sentinel cores do spawn at times on Couriers. Rocketeer drives can rarely spawn on first wave Rocketeer husks.

You have my sympathy, the benches are very annoying to level up for some reason. It's as if the game has a desire sensor that never spawns sentinel cores or rusted gears when you need the gunsmith bench. Like the other guy said, the arc couriers that have black smoke coming off them and appear on the map, spawn sentinel cores. They spawn most arc parts except the big ones' cores, like rocketeer/leaper/bastion/bombardier.

I recommend just using a freekit and running around on Stella Montis killing people to relieve stress. The map is so dense that you barely have to waste time running, and there are no rocketeers! Shredders will rape you if you don't respect them though.

I have noticed an increased number of sentinels spawning on Buried City with the hurricane. Like 2 or 3 per match. And people don't go to hurricane to kill arc, they go there for the increased loot value. So that's one option, with a cheap ferro kit and poking them from buildings.

I feel like a lot of the pvp/pve bitching would stop if they'd just implement either a flag system or separate lobbies. You want PVE? Click that setting and get loaded into matches where players can't hurt one another; at best they could grief and call ARC down on people. You want PVP? Click that setting and enjoy your bloodbath and competitive shootyshoot. Everyone would get to enjoy their mustard or their ketchup and everyone could look down the other peacefully.

With regard to the Rocketeers; smoke just means they can't track you anymore, but all the ARC will still sometimes fire at where you were last spotted. The issue with smoke grenades is they're damned small clouds. In addition, they've had their aggression turned up. But it's still possible to snaphook onto one not looking directly at you and deadline him. I try to avoid them unless I have a decent bit of cover to duck into and away from the entrance area. I feel like all the ARC got buffed a bit in terms of aggression and armor, but we just have to be more careful in how we engage them. I had a rocketeer fuck me up on Blue Gate in the hurricane, and had to crawl several minutes to extract.

ALWAYS TAG THE EXTRACT THAT'S OPEN THE LONGEST OR A RAIDER HATCH BEFORE ANY SHENANIGANNERY.

And for the love of God, take note of the wind direction when you're making big jumps. You won't enjoy falling over Checkpoint, losing all your health but not your shield, and crawling like a sparking flare in the darkness. If you have some kind souls around, you might get defibbed. You might not have those kind souls nearby.

Fuck the Rocketeer, if I get caught by 2 or more SMALL drone enemies out in the open that could be a death sentence. It's for that reason the game has remained an 80% stealth playthrough for me 25 hours in as a solo.
