Are there Any Woke Properties that you Unironically Enjoy?

Not sure if someone has said this yet, but The Boys. On the surface it doesn't seem woke but half the show is demonizing Christians/Conservatives/Straight, White men, with little in terms of reciprocal satirization of left wing people. Also it pulls that "girls get it done" bullshit they were literally making fun of Marvel for doing.

Same goes for Succession
succession was so good, im surprised nobody talks about it anymore even though it only ended last year. Some of the cut content from the script books is so wild

This is more music rather than property but I honestly like a lot of Troye Sivan's music even if its normie radio pop slop. Even the videoclip where he does drag. He's such an obviously milquetoast gay guy that I can't even find it in me to be offended or whatever.

tumblr, because of it being a hybrid between social media and blog
tumblr's tagging system is so good. I like that users dont know the ammount of followers anybody has.
Orange is the new black. The first season, anyway
It's been years since I saw it but i found it great too even though its totally pozzed. Though whenever i see pictures of the show it has the cheap TV feel lol.
Good Omens, mainly because of some of the tumblr fanart
Begging you to watch at least the first few seasons of supernatural cause thats literally the tumblr fanart OG show
Most definitely Everything Everywhere All at Once!
The parts with the BDSM and sausage fingers were a bit too much for me but everything else was really good, the ending was so emotional.

As a religious person I notice a lot of things which are supposedly “not woke” are actually very “woke”. For example: Dave Chapelle’s boring tranny-chasing special. That special sucked and I did not appreciate to listen to how he lusts for girldick. Then some people attack him for not being enough of a tranny chaser, so suddenly his level of chasing is normalised? Nah, he’s still a chaser.

Edit: as for my contribution I watched Fire Country. It’s like made-by-a-committee level woke and has the most contrived dialogue I’ve ever heard. It was so WEIRD that I watched the entire season.

i thought arcane was pretty decent and not outright awful... actually surprising because i don't know fuck-all about league of legends.

did The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert get brought up yet?
I love the copycat, To Wong Foo. It's such a comfort movie for me. It's hardly woke by today's standards, but I'm sure it turned heads in the 90s.

I actually really liked Arcane. My dad and I watched it together, he's big into weapons and military sci-fi/fantasy, meanwhile I'm just big into cartoons. I didn't even think it was woke, was there some gender shit I missed? Either way I'm sad there's apparently no season 2, it was really good and I wanted to see where they went after Jynx exploded everybody.

I loved Horizon: Zero Dawn. I liked the fact that Aloy looked like a regular woman, but still cute and feminine. The story and the themes were great. I really appreciated that there was maybe some mild flirting from male characters towards Aloy, but she was very focused on the mission. It's rare to have a female action hero without a romance plot. I've never been a fan of romance in video games.

I am aware that Forbidden West is bad and whatever they did to her face is horrifying. And a DLC for it turns her into a lesbian out of nowhere which perpetuates the bullshit trope that if a woman isn't actively pursuing romance with men, she HAS to be in the closet. And I've heard the female lover is annoying as fuck. (Yes, I know her DNA donor was gay. But claiming your DNA controls your sexual orientation is ironically unwoke.) I won't play it. Zero Dawn had a perfect ending anyway.

I still play the Sims even though the community is painfully woke and there's so much gender shit in it. I fix it myself when I start a new town.

No gender shit, but I think Vi/Caitlyn was heavily implied. Or confirmed? Not sure. So I guess you could call it woke when it comes to general LGBT shit. Anyway, as far as I know they are already working on season 2.

The OA is just about my favorite show ever.
I really liked it when I watched it the first time, but I fear that these days the stupid genderspecial might ruin it for me.

I've been watching Billions. It doesn't start super woke, but by season 2 the show introduces a "non-binary" (butch lesbian) as a main character who sticks around for the rest of the series. This character is super-ultrawoke and has a major case of autism, and honestly is the most boring part of the main cast to me.

I was able to overlook the woke stuff for the most part, however I tapped out during season 6 just last night and don't think I'll be going back. The writing just gets completely retarded and has characters doing things that don't line up with their established character traits and arcs from seasons ago. Hell, the height of the show is seasons 1-4, and it starts to lose traction in 5.

The Sims 4 has tranny, theyfab/theymab and vitiligo shit in it, but it's very easily ignored. Or you can create a realistic tranny to torment.

I used to like Degrassi, and it was definitely proto-Woke prior to s10 going fully woke. S10 introduced a pooner character, and s11 introduced an annoying, hideous faggy creature as the show's new gay guy.

Hogwarts Legacy has a minor tranny character in it, but it's not obnoxious about it. Sirona is a very level-headed, kind and selfless person. Basically the opposite of what trannies are actually like.

Same. Gameplay was fun and the overarching plot was actually really interesting too, if a bit predictable towards the end.

I am aware that Forbidden West is bad and whatever they did to her face is horrifying.

Her face is actually not that bad outside of a couple cutscenes where it looks weird, at least in the PC version. IDK if it was worse in the original PS release. I still prefer her look in the first game, but it's not nearly as bad as some of the screenshots I've seen represent it as. Forbidden West takes a major shit on the story front through, it's extremely predictable and leans way too hard into the faggy pinko "everything bad is rich people's fault" line to the point where it's cartoonish and stupid.

And a DLC for it turns her into a lesbian out of nowhere which perpetuates the bullshit trope that if a woman isn't actively pursuing romance with men, she HAS to be in the closet.

To be fair you do actually get to choose whether or not this relationship happens, although the game foists the lesbo option on you very hard, and I'm 100% sure that will end up being the canon choice if a sequel is made.

And I've heard the female lover is annoying as fuck.

Extremely, I was physically cringing every time she opened her mouth.

(Yes, I know her DNA donor was gay. But claiming your DNA controls your sexual orientation is ironically unwoke.)

That's also something that I think the base Forbidden West game added in out of nowhere, unless it was mentioned in an audiolog that I missed in the first game.

I won't play it. Zero Dawn had a perfect ending anyway.

The DLC has no redeeming qualities other than adding some good endgame loot, all the characters suck, the plot is stupid, and it adds nothing to the world. The DLC villian is an extremely obvious Elon Musk pastiche, which is really stupid and cringe. The base game also really isn't worth it either, it adds a ton of mechanical bloat that wasn't neccessary and takes away or heavily restricts abilities that weren't overpowered in the original game, and the story is stupid as referenced above. The new factions are also really uninteresting.

As much as how much I hate to admit it, Watch Dogs 2 is definitely a guilty pleasure of mine.

The game is...Very Fucking woke for it's time, a lot of Social Justice themes (I mean it's San Fransisco after all lol), such as Horatio (a side character in the game who works for the ingame's equivalent of Google) complaining about being a Nigger in a workplace filled with whitey hipsters, but the game's Hacking mechanism is hella fun in my opinion, the visuals of the game is a improvement over the first game, and Wrench just being a goofy asshole through out the game.

I only know of that game because of this meme

Probably mentioned already but God of War : Ragnarok gets a lot of shit for sweet baby involvement, but imo it's really one very specific monologue that comes off as woke (Kratos' dialog with Thor about being BAD MEN WHO CAN DO BETTER after the last fight with him right before the final boss) and even though the actual intent of the scene is okay it's delivered in shitty corporate wokevoice and jarring. I still thought it was enjoyable enough to do most of the postgame. Never really got the hate vs Angrboda but it was amusing how many black stereotypes they slapped onto her. Funny how that seems to happen with woke consultation.

I didn't fully hate Suicide Squad kills the justice league like the internet did. Maybe it's because I don't consume a lot of capeshit but outside of some cringy lines or the always online live service aspect to it it was kinda fun. I like King Shark and Captain Boomerang in it. There were some jokes in there that was actually funny and unintentionally funny moments. I like how Batman's role is reversed from the Arkham games and now he's the one barking orders at henchmen and getting increasingly frustrated with them as they fail. Also the batman experience room where now your the henchmen trying and failing as batman take you down one by one. The timing was bad but it was not the fault of the game for Kevin Conroy's death and he seemed to have fun playing evil Batman. Killing the Justice League and Brainiac was fun.

I'm generally a fan of Dimension 20 (D&D actual play show) but it does have a fair amount of woke cringe, mostly in the form of heavy handed "capitalism bad" and "organized religion bad" themes in certain seasons. Ally Beardsley, the resident enby on the main cast, is unsurprisingly the worst player and every PC she makes must reenact Ally's irl arc of escaping her evil Evangelical family and embracing queerness etc.
Have been getting into Fantasy High, I was expecting a bit of wokeness but able to look past it because most of the players do a great job at portraying their characters and it gives me that sense of nostalgia for the silly "high school AU" fanfiction that was everywhere back in the day, and while the first season isn't too in your face with the wokeness, Kristin is my least favourite of the main characters because once she realises she likes girls it's always "have I mentioned I'm a lesbian today?" Was half expecting her to go off on a monologue about munching carpet. When I found out Ally is a they/them I wasn't surprised at all, because of how preachy her character is.

They've had Erika Ishii who's also an insufferable genderspecial (though still looks 100% female, heavy makeup and all) on for a series, as well as a black troon named Persephone something playing a character who was retconned as a tranny. I'll just end up skipping that season because they aren't even being subtle about the rainbow cult propaganda there.

(I'll admit the presence of black and Asian cast members on gaming related shows such as D20 doesn't bother me, since being a minority ≠ being an insufferable SJW, and if they want to represent themselves in a fantasy setting, fine, just make it believable and in keeping with established lore, not something done solely for the reason of gratuitous self insertion/pandering/tokenism. When suddenly the dark skinned gnome starts ranting about BLM, that's when it gets jarring. Same with gay cast members/characters, you can make it work without getting preachy but for the love of God, don't have them spend every moment going on about what they like to do in the bedroom.)
