Pretty comfy actually. When I play on the weekends it's mostly euros and turks on the main three servers(Paradise Island, EU Commander, and Minisiege). Population is definitely down from a decade ago, but there's plenty of people if you join during peak EU hours. I think there are less English speakers because chat is relatively dead compared to the old days, even if 50-60 people are on a server.

Plotwise the spartans (or at least the II's like Master Chief and presumably beyond because the children of the I's were all super fucked up and only a handful survived) are all sterile asexual beings. I think the female Spartans are just a bit too close to actual trannies for them to want to try and project themselves onto them. You'd never confuse a female spartan for a real honest natural woman because they're WNBA players who've been surgically enhanced and roided up.
