Honestly this thread was kind of just made to let off steam originally, personal issues really amplified how I was feeling and now I look back at this and kind of cringe. There’s a lot about this website I don’t agree with and obviously I can’t force people to think a certain way, that’s lunacy. But I don’t know, I began to see a growing ugliness towards some of the users here and just wanted to remind people there are good things on this site. People really should just lighten up, you’ll be happier this way.

This is why I eventually decided to get an account on the Farms. There is a wide diversity of opinion on the forum over incredibly divisive topics and yet the forum isn't ripping itself apart; even better, everyone seems generally capable of walking out of the Autism Thunderdome and having a laugh at the site's main draw. It's truly amazing to the point of being a world wonder. That's definitely not an arrogance thing. It's genuinely impressive nowadays to have a forum of this magnitude and still growing which has not been balkanized into gay little factions or just outright co-opted by a specific ideology.

You're right, we need more mods, hopefully Null will host some try-outs after he's done being in pain from his jaw and tweaking kiwiflare. The mods and admins that are here work very hard, some of them are pretty casual, usually cause they've been around for so long, but there needs to be AT LEAST 2 for every section of the forum and 1 international mod that's multilingual to be able to appropriately monitor and sort wheat from chaff. It's a hard job, but somebody's gotta do it if they want to maintain the forum quality it used to have as the forum gets more and more popularity. In 2023, MATI has almost twice the average watchers than it did in 2022, and being back on Youtube has been excellent advertisement. Counterpoint to this: Ralph might die soon and lots of people are gathered around the trashfire, Chantal might end her streaming career or die, Lucas Werner might die, and if those 3 events all time place having too many mods might be redundant. But I definitely feel what you're saying, there's some fuckin' assholes coming into the site and it's messing up the vibe.
