Are you getting the vaccine? - Absolute trashfire thread, please enter with caution

Can we get a plagued rating jannies?

I never fail to laugh at how anyone on Kiwi Farms to the left of Orange Hitler gets labeled as a troll. It's pure cope because you don't want to respond to the argument.
>left of Orange Hitler
>trump was anything but a neolib
>left winger telling people to blindly trust multibillion-dollar companies
>It's pure cope that people ignore arguments like "BELIVE DAH SOYENTIST GOY!"

There's a reason why people don't respond to things like this well here, but it doesn't seem to be the reason you're thinking.

AstraZeneca has been suspended in Germany, so vaccination is grinding to an even slower pace. Will take quite some time to get anything scheduled now.
While I wait, I can at least watch people lose their mind over vaccines that they have such poor understanding of, to them it might as well be wizardry.

Both of my parents are set to take the Moderna vaccine at the end of the month. Tried to caution them by saying they should wait and see how it all pans out, but they're set on "trusting Dr. Faucci". They're both pretty old (and gullible), so I'm kinda concerned about them taking it, but it's not like I can do much about it.

TBF the risk vs reward for older people is weighted in favor of taking the vaccine

Have to get the jab (lol) for work, I just saw another article today about how the after-effects of second dose are way worse, did this happen to anyone?

I had my 1st dose of pfizer 10 days ago and nothing at all happened, no fever or feeling bad no arm soreness.

IMO, there's 50/50 chance I had the virus back in july so maybe that would make it so I didn't feel anything from first? I only know 5 irl people who've had the shots and all of them have had bad effects after each dose but all of them are also older and out of shape and 2 of them locked down hard, grocery delivery and all that for all of 2020 and likely had close to zero chance of having encountered the virus.

I am. I don't know why so many kiwis are skeptical about it, it's been tested and it reduces the possibility of you having severe covid. I don't have any preexisting conditions and I'm young and healthy but it's required for my work anyways.

If you're triggered about lockdowns, masks, you should be running to get the vaccine or else you're a hypocrite.
The "vaccine" is not tested. it does not even have a dead strain of Covid in it. Plus, I am "triggered" by the unnessescary masks and lockdowns. Masks are 100% ineffective because the second you touch them, they are useless. The "social distancing" is equally pointless.

The Vaccine has not been fully tested as some batches people are literally dying from it. Tell me again how its been thoroughly tested?

In case of Germany and the AstraZeneca vaccine, the level of protection it offers is about 70% after the first vaccination and even in the substantially less likely event of getting the Chink Stink, you're looking at zero cases of severe Covid infections this far.
On the other hand, after about 1.6 million vaccinations, we've had 13 cases with thrombosis, 3 cases of which unfortunately caused someone's death. The exact relation between the vaccination and the thrombosis is being researched, but odds of 1:123,000 for possible vaccination-related issues are really insignificant, while an early diagnosis of that sideeffect can most likely be treated easily with anti-thrombosis medication.

So, pretty good protection on one hand vs. absolutely negligible risk on the other hand. Grab any random everday over-the-counter medication, chances are you'll find significantly more likely and similarly severe sideffects/risks in those.
Prescription medicine is dramatically more dangerous than that, too. Taking the contraception pill leads to a risk of thrombosis ranging from 5:10,000 to 12:10,000 (currently, a link between the thrombosis, AstraZeneca and the pill is being looked into btw).
So yeah, risk vs. reward is pretty good.

This is the kind of entertainment I'm here for.
Can't reason with these guys, so just enjoy the ride. :story:

What will it take to convince you guys? So all of the academic institutions, all of the politicians (I agree that they're full of shit), and all of the academic papers that show that this vaccine is safe and very effective in reducing severe covid cases aren't enough.
You've gotten so riled up over folks saying "no", I think you should take your meds, go back to watching your Marvel flick and chug another Soylent.

The same "academics" who don't take axial precession into account when talking about climate change? The same "scientists" who claim there are no biological differences between races? The same "politicians" who have been fucking us into the ground since the 30s? You treat this like someone not wanting to convert to your tard-faith. Your life doesn't matter, my life doesn't matter, unless you're a galaxy brain or have a super important job (that you; and only you, can do) no one's life matters. There are two major types of people when it comes to this shit, 1. "Leave me alone" and 2. "Do as you're told". The fact I am even typing this shows which one you are, you filthy nigger. GTFO my internet.
