You don't know how monitor mode works, do you? It listens in to all traffic on your network, whether directed at that computer or not. Try enabling monitor mode and running Wireshark on your work laptop, you'll see exactly what all other machines on your network are doing. While HTTPS is encrypted, DNS requests are sent in plaintext unless you specifically encrypt DNS which I doubt you do.

It's trivial for your IT admin to remotely enable monitor mode on any of your work laptop NICs and see exactly what you do on your network during work times. Since HR knows you live alone, they can safely correlate visits to shady sites like "kiwifarms.net" with pauses in productivity and link them solely to you. Good luck explaining to HR what you were doing here all day when you should be working.

I'm not included in the monitoring but I'll tell you anyway. AP isolation works. Or stick it on a guest network or another VLAN which is a little easier as AP isolation on consumer routers will isolate all hosts from each other.

That's why it's in the WFH contract, you're liable whether you leave your work laptop at the bus stop, or whether you leave your front door open and someone comes in and steals it, or whether you leave your wifi open and someone hacks you.
