The same reason e.g. Germany has a vaccine mandate for measles: In the hope that you can get rid of it completely at some point in time, so you may not need to vaccinate against it in the future (which worked for smallpox, but i guess that's where the list ends with measles and polio now endemic again in New York).

In Germany they set a deadline this winter at which point double-dose vaccinated citizens don't count as fully vaccinated anymore, and I'm quite curious to see what actually happens when that day comes. Doctors were ABSOLUTELY told by the CDC to stick to a protocol that was killing patients (Ventilators and no other medication). Any variation of this protocol and they would lose their licenses. There's such a thing as "margin of error." No vaccine is 100% foolproof, that's why a margin exists to account for such an event. If it's widespread, it'd be one thing. So far, you're showing isolated cases of failed vaccination.
