Are you getting the vaccine? - Absolute trashfire thread, please enter with caution

I don't know what to tell you man, I'm just repeating what HHH's study concludes

In the latest safety update presented by the CDC’s Vaccine Safety Team to the Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices on March 1, Dr. Tom Shimabukuro reported that as of Feb. 16, 94% of the reports submitted to VAERS after the administration of the Moderna and Pfizer/BioNTech vaccines were for non-serious events such as headaches, fever, chills and fatigue. The reports of serious events, such as anaphylaxis, heart attacks and strokes, were assessed by vaccine surveillance systems. Except for cases of anaphylaxis, which were rare, the CDC reported no safety concerns were detected, meaning there was no cause and effect relationship between the vaccines and the reported adverse events.
well they weren't 'fake' reports, just non-serious ones, if this information can be trusted

"Non-serious" in that paper means
one of the following is reported: death, life-threatening illness, hospitalization or prolongation of hospitalization, permanent disability, congenital anomaly or birth defect
not "heart attacks and strokes", dumb journo can't even read footnotes. To me, "only 6% of our adverse reactions kill you or cripple you for life" does not inspire confidence (9% for Pfizer specifically, I guess factcheck.org didn't feel this was relevant). Regardless of severity, adverse events were reported at way higher rates in 2021 and onward than ever before, and this is worth noting

The lunatic gigavaxxers are largely correct about VAERS, anyone can report to it and it has no way to confirm all the incidents. It is very likely the system was highly manipulated during the pandemic because of the widespread antivaxx sentiment.
It is always best to argue based on data and facts, instead of tribally clinging to various perspectives you heard about in the circles you might peruse online.
One of the reason I despise cliques and circlejerks and want them disbanded.

one of the following is reported: death, life-threatening illness, hospitalization or prolongation of hospitalization, permanent disability, congenital anomaly or birth defect

Life-threatening

Report if suspected that the patient was at substantial risk of dying at the time of the adverse event, or use or continued use of the device or other medical product might have resulted in the death of the patient.

Disability or Permanent Damage

Report if the adverse event resulted in a substantial disruption of a person's ability to conduct normal life functions, i.e., the adverse event resulted in a significant, persistent or permanent change, impairment, damage or disruption in the patient's body function/structure, physical activities and/or quality of life.

Other Serious (Important Medical Events)

Report when the event does not fit the other outcomes, but the event may jeopardize the patient and may require medical or surgical intervention (treatment) to prevent one of the other outcomes. Examples include allergic brochospasm (a serious problem with breathing) requiring treatment in an emergency room, serious blood dyscrasias (blood disorders) or seizures/convulsions that do not result in hospitalization. The development of drug dependence or drug abuse would also be examples of important medical events.
wtf are you on about?

Hey retard I found the study you were talking about, the authors still concluded that VAERS underreports vaccine injuries by several orders of magnitude. Try reading past the abstract sometime
Lol sure ya did. I can make stuff up, too, but I'd rather instead know whose sock you are. I know that /pol/tards have a reputation for having no life, but I find it hard to believe that even you theocratic boomers would sign up to an account here just to throw a temper tantrum because some guy with a Hulk Hogan avatar listens to medical professionals over Alex Jones when it comes to medical advice.

plz fully read dis
He's a low IQ simpleton, who believes whatever Alex Jones tells him to. It's even funnier because of the fact that believing every conspiracy they read is linked to having a far below average intellect.

Wrong again. I used a video from a liberal commentator to show there is no bias in this situation, that most people agree Fauci shouldn't have lied about masks even if he had good intentions. It's not out of context at all but I'm glad you at least admit he said it now. It must have been difficult for you to admit your beloved medical professionals got something wrong.

I'm just a guy who didn't want to take the vaccine. None of these things apply to me. You otoh seem like you've been losing your mind. Whether it's spazzing out at people ITT or simping for drag queens in your containment thread to own the trumptards. If you keep going at this rate, you'll probably troon out by the end of the summer. You should slow down.
Sure ya did... And like I said, he didn't lie lol. Initial data wasn't in, so he just said there wasn't evidence they worked. I know you QAnoners have a hate boner for Fauci because he dared to disagree with Trump and Q said Fauci was evil, but you really don't know more about medicine than him because you listen to Tucker Carlson.

Lol no, you have the same views as every other alt-right retard. You are younger, but have the same worldview of an 85 year old, evangelical bible-thumper. That's why women want nothing to do with you. It's gotta suck to be you, knowing that younger generations overwhelmingly vote Democrat to vote your beloved theocrats out of office. And again, it's hilarious that you say that when you're in here throw a tantrum because people don't listen to Alex Jones when it comes to medical advice.

Why do you claim that listening to Alex Jones makes you know more than people who have devoted their entire professional careers to a subject?

where are these retards coming from?
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Internet_Research_Agency (china has one of these too, and by some studies it works even better, but this one's more well-known-of)

When long-time posters go off their meds or start babbling retarded takes, that's plenty real and genuine. But when it's oddball, persistent socks that's probably just troll farms. The goal is to hook some small amount of retards on your spiel, who then go on to repeat it to their circles- and this place is a fairly useful watershed for social-media-addicted schizobabblers, so there you go. The media tries to report troll farms as 'organizing a BLM and a BackTheBlue protest on the same street on the same date' kinda thing, but that's... really rare for them, lol.

The goal is genuinely just to get people to scream nonsense at each other, which is about to get a lot worse with chatgpt pumping out plenty of 'studies' that to the layman look real-enough but to experts are immediately and obviously full of shit. Having successfully gotten us to a point where we no longer have any trust in experts and we instead have two camps of pseudoreligious idiots whose trust primarily falls on which grifter's tribe will give them more upcummies, you can see why even low-effort socking on a retard-stalking website can yield big returns. (Plus, it's fun!)

shh, you hear that? that's the sound of nobody giving a shit.
Why are you so womanly emotional over vaccinations? It's quite uncharacteristic.
You're generally quietly lurking when it comes to most of the lunacy on the site.
But when it comes to these very specific vaccines for this very specific one virus, you're spam-posting, sperging out profusely, and acting like some rutting mammal that needs to mark territory with her estrogen infused stickers.

wtf are you on about?
picrel from the report you and the factcheck.org boonker linked to. It's not my main point -- my main point is that even a shitload of "non-serious" events is something to consider.

Fixed that for you. Surely several antivaxx people made false reports, but not a lot, it's a complicated form. It's very likely the vast majority of 2021 VAERS reports were filled out by medical professionals -- many of whom have an extremely anti-antivaxx sentiment, so you could use the same "deys lyin" claim to argue that adverse reactions are way underreported.

"my arm hurts" is considered non-serious. guess we better look into why a person's arm hurts after being poked with a needle, it's super serious

Go to the report you linked me and tell me how many VAERS reports mentioned arm pain. We should absolutely look into why these vaccines are generating so many more reports than annual flu shots

you're right. it's actually headaches, then fatigue, then dizziness. DIOS MIO! not fucking serious, could even arguably be caused by literally anything else.

edit: maybe i'm being retarded, but does this report mention any specific length of time between when someone is vaccinated and when someone reports side effects to VAERS? what i'm getting at is that a person could have waited like a week or two and started having headaches, and then immediately attribute the headaches to the vaccine as opposed to a bunch of other shit that could cause headaches.

But why so much more than any other vaccine though?

Actually this is the funniest part about the "it's made up" argument that covid cultists pull out of their ass. According to the GAO the entire AERS system usually only reports about 1-10% of actual adverse events.

In other words, it's actually UNDER reported, not over.

From real life experience, the only ones still emotionally invested in the vaccine are Fat People... Skinny vaxxies can't seem to muster the fucks they gave a few months back.
