So when they churn these vials out, what is the vaccine being made from? Is this literally half a DNA strand created from raw materials?

It comes from the modified bacteria/cells, which you can think of as basically infected with a custom virus that produces the desired material for the vaccine. They can then separate out the mass produced DNA and further modify it until they get their final mRNA.
So yeah, it's basically an entirely custom strand created from raw materials. The cells are just used as a production vehicle (in J&J for example, those fetal cells aren't strictly required, they're just a convenient production vehicle).
Essentially, yes. They sort of put just all of the ingredients in a vat together and mix, causing them to form the required RNA sequence. In particular they start with an existing DNA template (which is also just manufactured) and then apply specific enzymes that change it into what they are looking for. After that they use another reaction to "cap" the RNA, essentially stopping it from degrading or changing further. After this they filter the result to pull out just the actual RNA they are looking for.
Per section 4 of this article: "mRNA is produced in a cell-free system and uses no animal derived raw materials. Cell-derived impurities or adventitious contaminations are thus absent, which makes the manufacturing of these molecules safer"
Compare and contrast how they traditionally make the seasonal flu vaccine (and others), which is by growing the inactive version of the virus in chicken eggs, then filtering the result to have just the vaccine. It's a lot cheaper and easier to scale up, but means that the vaccine isn't vegan. Which I have genuinely heard as a reason not to vax your kids.
Edit: Post above noted that the J&J uses a bioreactor, which I guess I should have added is usually how you manufacture the DNA they start with. Not sure what the cells in the bioreactor for J&J are, but for Pfizer its E. coli (a specific non-disease type), which is famously popular in biotech as super easy to edit, grow, and overall work with. It's used for a ton of bioreactor shit for drug production.

This guy came up in 2021-22 already, I know they have just examined him, but this was being pushed in all media in several countries at the same time, I just wonder why? Seems too coordinated, why is it an important story that some crazy guy survived a stupid stunt?
I know a guy that has been smoking a pack a day since the 1950's, but everyone knows he is not the rule but the exception. Pushing this story does not make me less sceptical of the jab, seems like a cover for the 99 million-study.

Then why wouldn't they use them? Hasn't stopped lab grown meat companies from using (cow) fetal cells for their bioreactors, right? If it's convenient and it's cheaper than the alternative and nobody's stopping them I have no doubts they'd just use human abortions for it in this case at all times. They don't care about the morality it's about the bottom line.
