I would honestly prefer to get a breakthrough infection at this point just to get the natural immunity. Well, after long enough I am considering getting a shot. I'm choosing Moderna and am consulting my doctor prior to the first shot. I want to know if my body can take it before I let them do something to me that I don't want. Seems reasonable and fair to me. Consensual, maybe. I hope that anyone still unsure about this will consult the patient fact sheets and go point-by-point with your doctor; only proceeding once you have cleared each point. The thing I noticed is it's not covid that kills; it's the following punches like pneumonia that do the person in. Some of my friends and family have had healthy people they know, like me, die from covid+whatever else. Surviving in nature really depends on where you're at, too. There is a difference to not having benefit from modern technology medicine, and mocking those who don't need said technology and medicine.

I'm not dumb enough to think my immune system could stand down Rabies on its own, which is why I'm planning to get my rabies vaccine soon.

Yeah okay, to be fair to determine a virus's deadliness you need to go off # infected vs # dead, not total population.
If something only infects 10 people and kills all 10, its significantly deadlier than something that infects 50 million and kills 500,000.

However, I'll give you that percentage of the total population is good for determining overall threat to the species/population/meta-population.
Of which COVID is still no real threat to the survival of Homos sapiens nor the long-term demographics of almost any country.
