The number you are looking at is total of covid deaths, which means the denominator is the entire US population, which is 80% vaccinated and 20% vaccinated. Since 58% is lower than 80%, it can be concluded the vaccine works and is effective, despite what Tucker Carlson told you.

I'll try to simplify the numbers and use a food example since you're probably a fat, being this worried over covid.
Say you order 100 pizzas of 5 different topping arrangements get ordered for a party. 4 of the toppings arrangements are premium pizzas, 1 is a cheap plain cheese. 10 of the pizzas get lost. 6 of the pizzas got lost in transit. 4 of the pizzas never made it out of the restaurant.

Regardless of which pizzas with which toppings got lost and which topping arrangement had a higher rate of loss, you still look at it and say "hmm, 6 out of 10 pizzas missing got lost by the delivery boy, maybe that delivery boy isn't as good as he claims".

In the coof case, you're touting that the vax aka the delivery boy is some great hot shit who deserves $20 hourly pay and management fast track. I'm looking at the fact that this supposedly effective delivery boy is such a dumbass that out of 10 pizzas that got fucked up he managed to lose 6 of them.
Moreover, of the pizzas that got lost, whether it was the delivery boy or the restaurant staff that lost it doesn't matter much when talking about the price point of losing those pizzas.
